Celestron EQ5GT mount

I'm just loking at a Celestron EQ5GT mount at a good price would my Startravel-120 scope be all right weight wise on it.

The scope normally comes on an eq3-2 - so the CG5GT will have no problem with it weight wise - it's a good chunky upgrade from the supplied mount

You're welcome - I have an ST80 on mine alongside Meg72, dual bar and dew controller - much more weight than the 120 - absolutely no problem :

They are pretty good mounts then can handle abit of abuse :-) then.

Is this mount the same as the sky watcher eq5

The EQ5 and CG5 are basically the same mount. The CG5 has better bearings and a greater load capacity.

There are Ascom drivers for controlling via a laptop, which I did a few years ago - Initially I had problems with the leads and ended up buying the official Celestron one which though short connected with no bother. I know you can buy longer ones, but I think the signal may get attenuated.
