Connecting Nikon DSLR

Hi all I wonder if someone could tell me exactly what bits I need to attach my Nikon D200 to my Scope. 8" Newtonian.

You will need a Nikon T-Ring like this:

Nikon T Ring: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

Your inch and a quarter eyepiece adapter SHOULD screw off your focusser. (depending on which Newtonian you have).

Once this is off you should then be able to screw the T-ring onto the same thread and attach the camera.

You'll also want to consider some kind of remote trigger - either one of the Nikon ones, a third party one, Nikon Capture via USB or some other software like Maxim. I think Canon Remote Capture can be used to trigger some Nikon cameras (and it's free). Either that, or you'll need to use your D200's timer to help deal with the vibrations your hand would pass on to the apparatus.
