Dumbbell through Binos

I have been scanning in a few old observations and came across this old favourite from last summer. This was made through a pair of 100mm APM binos at x41 with UHC filters and what a stunning sight it is.

The bright apple core was surrounded by a dimmer circular patch of haze set against a lovely star field.

I am quite looking forward to seeing it again as summer approaches.

Great drawing. This must be from a really dark site, M27 doesn't look as good as that through my 150mm Intes Mak telescope from the outskirts of light polluted London!
