Hello all.

Took this last night. The image was taken with the C80ED and Canon 350D.

52 mins and 30 secs made up of of 2 mins and 30 secs subs, 20 darks and 25 flats. Unguided.

All thrown into DSS and a little messing around in GIMP.

Thanks for looking and all comments welcome. Especially how to get rid of the glow right side.

Very nice image!

If you want a couple of pointers..... (And these are in no way criticisms, it IS a cracking image) then I would lower the greens a little, with the curves tool in Photoshop - set it to the green channel, then grab the bottom of the curve and drag it down a little.

The best way to get rid of the amp glow is to get Noels actions - they are only around $20 or so and you can use the colour blotch tool. If you want to manually sort it then do a selection on that area, feather the selection with a big amount (say 30-50) then muck about with the curves on the selection till it goes.

I think i found what you mean in GIMP Blinky. I had a go at lowering the green channel a little. I think it looks better. Thanks again for your input.
