Whats it like up there at Derwent Reservoir? Theres not must around so it must be pretty dark. How does it compare with Washington? Hope the sky stays clear for you all.

sky was probably the best we have had at Derwent. Not as good as Kielder but last night was not that far behind. naked eye viewing m44 double cluster milky way coma bernice to name a few. unusually clear all the way to the horizon as well so a lot of the low down stuff way visible. a very good night was had by all. BTW Sy what time did you finally leave. I got home at 3.45.

I left (last again ) at about 4:30. The sky was well and truly lit up lol

Loved every minute of it.

The milky way coming over was cracking and an added bonus.
