Dust on the primary

Looking through the hole there pointed towards the light and saw some specks of (hopefully) dust on the primary, how much will this affect the view and how big a job is it to clean? Full on dismantle job?

Best advice is to leave well alone. A little dust on the primary will have no noticeable effect on the view whereas putting a scratch on it while cleaning it could be a whole lot more serious!

I'm not an expert but from reading previous posts, don't touch the mirror! If it doesn't affect the view, don't touch it or do anything. An answer from a pro would be better but that is my advice.

Hopefully it is just dust as when zoomed in fully on a star i can see specks in the unfocused star, i have no desire to strip it down and clean it hehe seems likea big job its new still only used like 5 times

The specks you see on a unfocused star is probably specks on the eyepiece

Probably just atmospheric turbulances.

Dust doesn't affect quality of view, but cleaning the dust may damage your mirror.

Yep im probs being para to the max and am usinv the supplied ep's apart from that sfuff like saturn is pretty crisp and no complaints
