Posting eyepieces?

Recommended Posts

Hi Adrian, I've used DHL for important stuff, not cheap though.

They have collection points in all sorts of places, WH Smith,

Staples and many more. They supply cardboard boxes of all

sizes at the collection point.

Regards, Ed.

Again on small print. Some carriers take the 'insurance' money then decide they won't cover 2nd hand stuff. TNT used to be like that. We had one item dropped (£2000) and another lost when the truck caught fire on the road - £5000. One reason we stopped using them at work.

Eyepieces in a case could probably stand being thrown off the van at motorway speed. Really it is loss or serious damge (run over by truck or burnt up) that is of interest.

UPS are very reliable, but not cheap. Royal mail special delivery is very reliable and you can select the insurance level. but in all cases check the cover. Photograph the contents and final package in case of argument.
