planetary imaging camera question.

hi all

i have been offered a dfk 21AF04 Camera but the problem i have is i do not have firewire on my laptop, i have seen you can get usb-firewire adapters, has anyone used these with this sort of camera? will it even work?

I use both the DMK21 and the DMK41 firewire on my Dell laptop using a firewire Express card and a 12V battery power supply.

Great cameras for planetary, lunar and the Sun.

Highly recommended.

yeah the reviews i have read say they are good, i use a 2009 macbook and i think its one of the few macbooks not to have a firewire port and i don't have a express port. but i am still very tempted with the camera. i guess if i can't get it working i can stick it on ebay lol

My DMK21 is one of the most convincing, robust, no faffing bits of it I have in astronomy.
