TLC for cheap old Tascos

I've come across a pair if 10*50 Tasco bins. The objective lenses unscrew, and at some point a previous owner has taken them off and inexpertly cleaned the inside surfaces. They now have yellowish smears and bits of fluff adhering to them. I wonder if anyone could advise me as to how best to give them a clean? Can I use soapy water, or do I need something more specialised?

I would try isopropyl alchohol (can be bought from a chemist) or get a specialist cleaning kit, usually about £7.

Just check the lenses are glass first, you never know they could be plastic!

Opticlean. It's pricey, but is incredibly good and lasts for ages -- the little vial I have is over a decade old.
