  1. You kept that quiet  Nice one Jules. Good scopes and very versatile

Yes, used it again last night and very good it was, i am nicely surprised at how little CA it shows and the lens is pretty sharp across the whole field, this is one scope that is staying with me, the rack an pinion focuser is well up to the job, the funny thing is i had been looking at getting a TAL 75 frac but they just dont ever come up, this is possibly a better scope so i am very happy

  3. Wow, you guys are really getting on well with these little newts, im on my second one and cant even get it to focus a 1.25 ep (just like the last one)

I am pleased to say i solved the focus issues with a £5 astroboot long 2" to 1.25 adapter, now all my ep`s come to focus   this adapter is the same one as supplied with my old 150p ds

Just need some time  and clear skies to make an imaging start

  4. Nice bunch of fracs Spaceboy :)

Apart from the apartment store plasic frac I had age 7, the Evo120 was my first proper frac as well.

same for me, i had an ST80 for a short while, then got a blue tube 120 f8, this was a pretty good scope and there have been times when i have considered getting another

  5. Here's my latest acquisition - picked it up yesterday!! . I was unexpectedly offered this absolutely as new Bresser AR127L OTA complete with the following:

-Good quality - and I MEAN good quality 2" solid alumium diagonal with compression fittings and THREE retaining screws at 120 deg spacings

    -Really nice illuminated 8x50 finderscope

-Really nice Bresser 25mm wide angle eyepiece (2" fit)

-Excellent Meade 5000 HD 60 32mm wide angle eyepiece

The scope honestly does look like new and is only 8 months old. I was lucky that it was one of the versions of this scope that did come with good quality accessories - I know some of them had rubbish diagonals etc.

Hope you like the pics - I'll do a proper first light once I've had a chance to check her out. The lens coatings look superb and the cell is fully collimateable. Some of the pics show a comparison with my Tal 100RS for size - the AR127L is much bigger, but very manageable on my upgraded CG-5 :p

Nice looking scope Dave, i am a little surprised to see you have another 100rs

  6. Just to prove I do think mirrors can be used for telescopes - Mak 180 pro in cloudy moonlight. This scope is a magnet for clouds I reckon, it sometimes feels like every time I put this scope out to cool along come the clouds. Mind that's the same for any scope isn't it?

Bloomin heck Phil, the 180 looks good set up in the obsy, must get a dual speed for my 150, mirror flop is getting right on my wick, thought the new 150 might have suffered less but no

  7. My current gaggle of fracs...
