    Wee bit of info.

Only 10-11 days left to the begining of the Camp. 😀

As we all wlil be aware the weather is pants at present, BUT........

Several Long Range Forcasts are showing that the weather is supposed to clear up a bit around the 22nd- 23rd until towards the end of the month.

    And...

There are several night showing up as possibly clear after that.

I will of course keep an eye on things.

So I hope that cheers us all up a bit for the Star Camp.

No matter how it turns out it will be great to meet up with Old Friends and forge friendships with New attendees.

All being well Leslie will warm up the pies and I will sort out gravy and peas for Friday night.

Some prizes have been kindly donated and some bought for the planned Raffle.

Please remember Covid has not gone away entirely and still poses some problems, as unfortunately Jim and Dawn can attest to.

About 1 in 30 people still are infected in the UK, so we may well have one or two people unknowingly with COVID at the camp.

Please try to keep a safe distance, should be easy as we are in a huge field.😇

    Stay well, stay safe.

    See you all there.

Who are you calling Old - pot and kettle come to mind.

What items would you like for prizes? Bound to be more drink than you could shake a stick at! Astro bits and bobs?

All jokes aside folks, I hope that some more Star Camp Attendees will read these posts about the "Pie and Peas night".

As I need to get a total of pies to order ASAP.

If not enough pies are ordered then I will have to cancel the ordering as the postage costs will be way too high!

I know it is relatively early at present but to be for warned is better than too late in the day to do anything.

    Darren,

Order the pies you need to get free postage, I am sure me, Damian, Jim/ Dawn and others will make sure you are not short of cash (eat remaining pies).😮

  4. Hi David,

mirrors can become very dirty before there is any impact on image clarity. When you do clean them you can certainly use your finger tips - as long as they are free from dirt/ particles. Submerge the mirror in water with the tiniest bit of washing up liquid added. Let it soak for a bit, then very gently rub over stubborn areas. Rinse off under tap water, then a final rinse when the mirror is at an angle with Reverse osmosis (RO) water. The RI is available for peanuts from any aquatic fish shop. The RO has very little dissolved in it and therefore will not leave residue/ witness marks on the mirror. Mirrors and their coating are significantly more robust than th majority of people give them credit for.

I suspect that the majority of manufacturers would recommend people send their mirrors back to them for cleaning due the likely liability they would be exposed to if people screwed it up.
