About an hour ago, I arrived home from an Ed Sheeran concert in Dublin. When I got out of the car I saw 3 white light in the sky roughly traveling in a SE direction. They were spaced out from each other.

As I watched, the central light kept going in a straight line, while the outer ones on either side veered of course (one to the left, one to the right). They didn't do 90 degree turns. They just slightly changed trajectory in a curve and went their separate ways.

Definitely wasn't birds being lit up on their bellies.

    It was pretty cool.

I saw it a while ago and caught it on my phone20220225_043645-01.thumb.jpeg.7c4d6008bef65841ddadf5f76fc2345c.jpeg

I love Amsterdam. It's a great place to just hang out and take in the (relaxed) atmosphere. And I'm not talking about THAT

If you want museums/history, the Rijksmuseum has enough to keep you busy for the 5 days. There's also the Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank House. The latter can be a bit harrowing, obviously.

Get some Malaysian food too. Kantjil & de Tijger in Spuistraat is great. The fantastic Cafe Hoppe (pub) is nearby, which is a must-do, in my opinion.

I just like hanging-out in the canal area to the east of the city, on to The Jordaan further east. Lots of cafes, quaint shops, etc. The INK hotel is well placed for all that.

For sight-seeing tours, there are lots of boat/canal tours, which are are loads better than the usual open-top bus tours, which get stuck in traffic-jams in most European cities. A bike tour is good too, if that's your thing.

Note - it's been 5 years since I was there last, so things might have changed.

It's very nice other here, there mad on there bikes though.   For my 50th today we went to a nice restaurant called senses for a 7 course meal received_674153103910660.jpeg.80454db0f1ae30b37ca7cc6e734f2a1e.jpegreceived_5250284714991874.jpeg.59908cb9fae6cb284d3455b9a3d5f9ec.jpegreceived_739786267397438.jpeg.a9ccea67a5f73683f4dd055a3c7d3b37.jpegreceived_526807075739620.jpeg.6a4f53313041133cb8dd991013638191.jpegreceived_3266452463641703.jpeg.c40a2755bae67015909dd855ee226f7e.jpegreceived_519049692932865.jpeg.8e2a4cbdc626a0daff4da7edcc5d0bf3.jpegreceived_511977930318075.jpeg.bfaa840b4c839723f5aff8fbd1f186f1.jpegreceived_363589448996416.jpeg.6ff6d4e959fddf2305f2eb7b79428614.jpegreceived_3139891316222327.jpeg.e7dea4740c694a43919f95eac3520a56.jpegreceived_2119025994942888.jpeg.5f96623a139497a1aeb52792dee2b054.jpegreceived_5187815911279267.jpeg.9287bc9d814a8beb04bdde5acfbd7433.jpegfood was outstanding would recommend it .

  5. Hi all.

It's my 50th birthday Thursday, my wife has just  said she's booked a table for 2 at Senses Restaurant ,and need to pack today because we're leaving in the morning.

Feeling confused about having to pack and leaving in the morning, she says I've booked 5 nights at the Ink Hotel and the restaurant is in Amsterdam.

How nice is she  to arrange all this ,friends are coming round each day to look after the horses, dogs, cats and chickens and the boys are staying at their nans and she's taking them to school.

Has any one been to Amsterdam any tips on museum's etc.

  6. Great report kon.

I too was continuing the fuzzy hunt last night found alot of fuzzys in Markarians Chain in groups of 2 and 3 . Finished with the Sombrero galaxy very low in the sky.

There's so much more you're mentioned I haven't seen but after a few nights out in the freezing cold I think I need a rest.

Been too ill to concentrate on reading or anything else. Cough and chest has not been too bad but feel like I had the bejeezes knocked out of me. Dizzyness, aching legs, extreme fatigue, fever, shivers, night sweats, slightly abnormal oxygen and high blood glucose. ☹️ Feeling slightly better today. I'm thankful for three vaccine jabs. Imagining the potential illness effects without that protection makes me shudder.

Thanks for the good wishes. 👍

Hope you get well soon @ScouseSpaceCadet
