Looks like the wife not watching the apprentice tonight 🤣

I used to get my secondary mirror dew up all the time on my solid tube dob, as wulfrun said a foam camping matt not too thin works wonders as a dew shield and my secondary mirror hasn't dewed up since 

A few pictures of the moon using opticstar 127 and skywatcher 12"skywatcher dob. 

Es82,  14mm 8.8mm 6.7mm.

Samsung a52 and snapseed for editing 

Been using the refractor last few times it's been clear tonight I thought the dob needs to come out as well, will try and do some imaging through my phone on both.

The micro focuser it is will show pictures when I have it and installed.

I've just noticed the grub screws and the knobs do come off.

Which one is best the auto focuser  or the lacerta micro focuser.

Hi all.

It's my big 50th In 2 months and was thinking of upgrading my dob.

I'm going to flock the tube clean the primary mirror it's dirty but probably doesn't need doing but most well do it as the ota will be stripped down. 

I wanted to get this for the focuser but the end knob must be glued on any ideas what I could do or get would help I don't want to drill new holes I would like to upgrade to a new focuser where I could fine tune.

Hi spacegalaxy.

I would go for the dob.

Maybe save up a little be more because aperture fever will set in and you will probably want a bigger dob later on.

Smartphones have progressed so much and now images like this or hovering the phone over an EP to take a snap or two are proving to be a brilliant addition to the hobby .

Great details Neil, even when I zoom in on Thor's Hammer it's still sharp.

What set up are you using. 

Just got a FREE think pad, with many thanks to Johnrt , some where store my phone images .

Didn't have time to get the scope out clouds where coming in fast.

Held the phone with 10 seconds timer no editing, Samsung a52
