  1. Thanks! This seemed to work. M44 GOOD STACK.TIF That is it with just lights and darks. STACKED GOOD W FLATS.TIFAnd that is it with Lights, darks and flats. With the flats it seems that there is a darker patch in the centre. Is this meant to happen?
  2. Thanks I’ll have a try and get back to you
  3. And I forgot to say I didn’t do any processing after the stacking
  4. sorry, I've attached a JPEG version above
  5. This is the image stacked with darks and flats that i meant to post earlier
  6. I tried to get my guide scope working but couldn't last night so that is another problem but i did not use any filters and just used my EQ3 mount with Stellarium to track
  7. Hi everyone. So tonight i got my first acceptable DSO photo which was of M44 L_3245_ISO800_15s__38C.CR2. I used a canon 650D shootin ISO 800 with 15 second exposures. When i added my darks and flats (flats seen here) IMG_3112.CR2i got this result M44 w flats.dsssettingsso then i tried with no flats and got this M44 no flats.dsssettingsany ideas why the pictures are so light? Thank you!
  8. Thank you! Is that just on the canon website?

Exactly what’s happened to me! Welcome!
  10. Ok thank you my plan is to go to Sophian (I think that’s what it’s called) to focus then slew to m13 (when it’s the next clear night)
  11. Thank you! I’ll give my setup a go and see how it does
  12. Just as an extension tube really because I initially tried to attach the t ring straight to the telescope but I could only do that by adding this extension type thing. So it ends up like the picture below and that goes straight onto the telescope
  13. I have this as seen below in the picture going into the back of the telescope with the T Ring then attached and the camera attached to the T Ring and I have the camera in manual
  14. Hi I have a Sky-Watcher Evostar 102 and I’m trying to start imaging with it. Below is a picture of my current set up which is the tele eyepiece projector going straight into the back then onto a t ring onto the DSLR. I was wondering if I need a reducer for this like this https://www.firstlightoptics.com/adapters/astro-essentials-adapter-for-sky-watcher-focal-reducers.html
  15. Oh I see it on the picture! I haven’t had a proper chance to look yet because of these pesky clouds! One question, should M13 look relatively dark through the telescope?
  16. Okay thank you so much! Think I’ve pretty much got the idea!
  17. I get you I’ve done that and it fits perfectly! Just the last question though should I focus in and out in order to get that 1000mm or should it be 1000mm with the focus wheel all the way in?
  18. The only way I can get the camera attached is using the eyepiece projector and as seen in the picture below the t ring is smaller than the end of the drawtube.
  19. There aren’t any threads to do that on the end of the drawtube so I have to use the Tele-Camera Adaptor Eyepiece Projector to attach the T Ring straight on. Sorry for all the questions but when your measuring does it matter how far In or out the focus Wheel is?
  20. Does this look about right? Also sorry but for the measurement which lens is it and how would you measure to the sensor?
  21. Oh I see! Thank you so much! I think this could be the solution and yeah I do have a T-Ring
