It's an Svbony SV503 102ed with matching reducer/Flattener. It on an EQ6r-pro and I was also using an IDAS LPS D1 filter

The OSC version. This is my first astrocam, moving from a 600d so could not afford all the extras involved in mono. This camera seemed a natural progression.

These were in HGC mode, gain 100, offset I believe was 756 or there abouts. I will have to look up how many frames I took on each but the were all 90s exposures at -5° ,and no longer than 2h on each, maybe more like 1.5h

I got mine 2 days ago, just in time for the clear sky's here in Wiltshire. Got to admit I'm impressed, and with the service I got from Eddie at Risingcam.

Those engraving bits from Amazon or eBay are ment to turn at tens of thousands of rpm, and when running at that speed they do work well. I use them in my CNC router. What may work better for you if you can lock up the quill of your mill is a 60° chamfer tool (obviously with the mill spindle not turning) and using that to scribe the index lines. HSS is better than carbide as that can shatter. Working out what plate to use when dividing can be a bit daunting at first but it soon becomes easier, just make sure you get the brass finger things set to the correct number of holes. I once ruined a part setting them one out, you only do that once!!

I modified a very similar mount, a bresser model that I retrofitted with Onstep. I did use NEMA 17 400 step motors and belts. I really liked the Onstep system, and used this mount till I got my EQ6r-pro. I may retrofit the system on a CG5 I have, so I have a second larger mount. I have already printed the mounts and have the pulleys, it's just a case of getting round to it. I hope your conversion goes well! The Onstep goggle group is quite active
