  1. This is one of our nightmare surprises when opening the case.   For everyone, buy 200 of these desiccant sachets for 1 or 2 bucks from china and throw then in every corner of your case. Order with them 20 of those empty film canisters.  It was a tip from this forum.  Drill some holes in the bottom of that canister and place it (filled with desiccant) in the focuser/eyepiece holder.

For a total of $5,- you can keep 20 scopes and all other accessories as dry as possible

Having gotten fed up with trying to either reach under the tripod to the spreader/eyepiece holder, or forgetting which pocket has which eyepiece, I came up with this. Knocked up from some spare bits of wood this morning. It's not finished yet but I think it serves its purpose.

These ortho holes scream for 3 of these:

I don't understand how to interpret these graphs 🤔😢

You said I was smart, mom!

I also need to read a lot about these diagrams to understand them one day. But i suppose a diagram that shows all coloured lines crossing at a close point on the vertical axis would mean the diagram doesnt belong to the Celestron Astromaster 130

I started doing astrophotography last year, and this is my first mount. In March, SW had to send me a replacement control box, and just last night, the RA motor broke, so I've opened my second support ticket with SW. With the pandemic affecting global supply, I'm not expecting to be back up and running any time soon.

The fastest way is probably overseas, south of Mongolia. Not that expensive and probably within two weeks a new motor

    Baader RDF for my 102mm.

Not impressed - out of the box the lens assembly was loose. I pushed the retainer back down the tube to secure it. Hopefully it will work - if not it will have to go back :angry2:

One of these suddenly stopped “clicking” off.  Just out of warrenty.  Anyway, not that they are that expensive but just wanted to advice to return it as long as its within warrenty.

Ebay as "damaged" it wasn't damaged. Guy thought a captured screw was broke. However, this is the same as the skywatcher az eq 6 gt. And orion is no longer selling it, or any parts that go to it now.

Ok thanks.  I was in doubt to buy a white skywatcher or black orion.  I decided to go for the black one but all of a sudden couldn’t find them anymore.
