No. No friend with telescope Is it possible that raspberry burned the cable? hows possible that? should I contact flo? the mount has one month!

Thanks Nebula. ive plugged to usb only, it says both axes no reponse.. But I can skip that message and let me put day and time. Don’t ask to polar align though. i can’t/don’t know measure volts.

Thanks for your time It’s a skywatcher he5q gt. as you can see I was using the usual cable from mount and everything was ok. After I plugged that usb from the raspberry, the handset only will turn on of if the raspberry is on. If unplugged the usb cable, doesn’t matter, tripod light I on but handset off. As soon as I plug the usb, begins to work. I must have touched something in the menu. I’ve tried the pc mode on/off but no difference. Still needs the energy coming from the raspberry. any idea? thanskss

After being messing with the raspberry connected straight to synscan, now if I wanted to connect as usual, just mount connected to synscan, doesn’t power on ( the hand controller), need to be connected from usb to stellarmate. what have I done to do this happen? Please read this post with the shop boys singing “ what have I done to deserve this?”

I’m going to forget about stellarmate and will focus in the mount. I’ll try gmt 0. See that I’ve been recommended 0 and +1 in same post......it’s difficult.... I’ll focus in the 28 mm and synscan first and see from there.... my mistake to think this things work out of the box 100000 thanks again.

It came with 28mm. england is *1 gmt, isn’t it? i begin from Polaris in middle of main scope( almost sure it is and polar alignment app says I’m right. Beginn alligement and tell to go to Vega which is easy to see from my garden and , it’s not even is the finder!!So if I’ve to begin to slew with the arrows I get lost in the intensity of the sky......id expect to go closer in a 1000 pound system! thats why I got the stellarmate , to see if would help me. And I can say, he’s is NOT my mate. can see the pigeons in the neighbours roof though.....it’s something......

I’m writing this half angry, half sad. Bought the eqh5 and a 130 pds to have fun with the son and since then it’s been all problems. Goto never goes to the star I want. In put Polaris in the middle of a 24 mm zoom and tell to align to Vega. It goes more or less the direction, but never in the eyepiece. Never. If don’t go to Vega, how's gonna find any other thing!! so I saw the Stellarmate in internet to help to align. Bought raspberry, paid for the stellarmate and a 120 zwo. Since then, I’m a programmer not an astronomer. It’s an unfinished world full of problems. Full. Since you get the raspberry it’s one problem after other. Always in forums, asking to solve problems. If you have one hour of clear skies, you lose it rebooting the bloody machine. WiFi problems, drivers.....still hasn’t plate solved anything.....and I’m talking using the iPad.Kstars and Ekos in Mac....ja! I gave up long time ago. Just impossible to make it work without being Bill Gates. im sad. I’ve spent 1500 pound in the system and I’ve only seen the sun and the moon. Not sure if is this system or it’s me. due job/kids I can’t go to any meeting to see if any advanced mate would help me. im angry this morning. I don’t know what to do. It’s not just one problem, there are so many..... this is not astronomy, this is engineering.... any support like “come on mate, you’ll do it” much appreciated Pd: turned on mount now, and synscan only turning on when plugged to stellarmate....oh, come on, another problem more?

I answer for myself. After 6 hours messing with this..... you have to choose EQmount.. Not skywatcher.

Mount skywatcher heq5 gt im using skywatcher alt az in the INDI menu.Should I use other? Ive connected that cable from raspberry to mount in that plug and in the synscan controller. I’ve chosen PC control on/ off.... dont connect with the mount.... I’m desperate. what I’m doing wrong?

Saw moon first time yesterday with new setup. very happy! But I could see like a small vibration in the picture. Like someone is boiling water in the moon..... is this problem of the atmosphere? The telescope? The eyepiece? It’s not annoying, it’s just curiosity!

Another 30 pounds plus the finder? ih my god! whTs the cheapest option To have a guider ? I have a zwo 120 ( no mini) any guider can be attached directly the cam????

Hi, thanks for your answer. That one says maximum input 4,2 A, and the skywatcher tank output is 10A. Is that ok? Can be used?

I’m not in electronic stuff. Can u plug a 3v cigar in the tank that is 10A?

Hi, the skywatcher tank has two usb 5v 1,5A and two cigarettes connector with 12v 10A. The raspberry is usb c and says it needs at least 2,5A, incomes with a 5v 3A cable. Would it be possible to connect to the tank?

Was in bed and felt the sung passing through the window..... RUN FMA! Run! Set the mount, and telescope. Put my shitty new home made baader film. Tried several times to be sure not was going to fall down. Scared to death about blindness!!! First problem......i can't find it! everything is black!!!! Had a brilliant idea....attached canon and put in live view, so i could move the clutches and looking the cam.And there it was!!!! mmmmmmm, is that the sun or im looking a microscope! that can't be the sun! it looks Roger Moore is going to appear and shoot me.... You’ve a telescope specialised in image and a camera who is not. You want other scope specialised in image and a camera specialised. get the camera, see what you can get now with it, and next Christmas, when you hear Last Christmas I gave you my heart, if you’re not happy, go for the new scope.
