Hi Peter , Martin at FLO sent me a link to what I need so i will order it soon
-
Hi that's the telescope I start with it does not have a polar scope , but on your smart phone you can get polar alignment pro it's about £3 this allows you to do a polar alignment even in the day time makes it easy to do
if you open the app and place it in line with the telescope you can adjust tripod and mount to polar align it , just remember if you move the tripod make sure it's level at the end , now don't move the tripod any more just the telescope

Sorry if I am being a bit thick the all sky lens won't be used for planet or nebula photos ? But used if you want a star cluster photo ?
-
Ok thanks I will read up some more
-
I will go for the colour one , it says on the FLO site that the 50deg lens can be screwed in to far and will mark the window not to focus beyond infinity ? I can't find at thing in the manual about focus ? , also in the Q&A for Jupiter it says use a 4 or 5x Barlow ?

Hi mate I had the powerseeker , if you are going to change eyepieces go for one to use with your next telescope so you don't waste money , I did put a motor on mine does help with tracking targets , the hardest part is getting your head round the EQ flip , just set up in the day time so you can see what your doing and play about getting the telescope look at target in the South while polar aligned North
Great telescope have fun and enjoy the hobby

Hi take a look at FV-5 pro on play store is ment to be like having a DSLR camera on your phone
-
You should do a video using it if you can looks a great tool
-
Hi and welcome it because anything you order for astronomy comes with clouds in the box , I know what it's like all week when I am working we have clear skies and weekend comes and weather changes

you can play with the mounts day time just tell it it's lined up on your 2/3 star alignment then test on a target just to see if it stops
-
Hi mate there another thing to try clear all data from hand set PAE etc , then just to try dont put the scope on the mount go through the alignment ( just tell the band it's lined up on the star ) then give it a target and see if it can find it , if it does try with telescope on it all is well that's great
Now when you go out at night do the star alignment as normal , then give it a target it may be off so press escape then press and hold escape till it says centre ( what star you were looking for ) then centre it in the eyepiece then press enter you may have to do 3 stars but it will then get closer to spot on , doing this puts new data in the PAE , done this on mine and it's very close to the target star

Hi I flocked my 150/750 when I had it and also done my OO VX8L , got the sheets from FLO it's really sticky just remember to score it So it can expand with telescope

There are good laser collimators and there are cheap ones. Cheap ones will need collimating themselves before use. Good ones such as the Hotech or Howie Glatter ones will be spot on and are ready to use.
I use a Concentre to setup the secondary first then the laser.
Some people swear by the good old Cheshire eyepiece but I find the Concentre far, far superior for intial setup.
Hi that's good advice I had a cheap laser it's now in the bin , I have a Cheshire I collimated then star tested was a spot on Collimation then pop laser in and it said Collimation was out that's why it's in the bin I did collimate the laser collimater made no difference
Cheshire are good once you get your head round using then astrobaby did a great step by step Collimation

@Neil H - I'd have to borrow my wife's phone as my iphone compass is broken.
I'll take a look - the standard PS Align app is great - even has my reticule stored.
Will see how it goes tonight.
Hi I tested it a few times and it has been spot on

The only thing with lipos is if you go below 3.2 volts per cell the lipo is stuffed and won't recharge , I use the Celestron power pack as it can be run flat and can be left like it for 6 months , you don't have to charge it every time you use it and is so light in weight has red and white light built in and dew proof so no worries about it getting wet
The other pack is a car starter pack you can put it in your pocket it's that light , I run the fan on the mirror and can use the usb at the same time , they do them in Amazon

This is what mine looks like like I said does everything , I use it in day time alignment to line the tripod to polar
Then level the tripod , fit the mount then attach my phone to the mount were the telescope would fit and do polar alignment of the mount then your ready , you don't have to see Polaris to use this or your polar scope
