That pitch is a right blighter I done the same with a 16" mirror I was making I wasn't to far into polishing so I stuck mine I the freezer and it just popped off
-
taking mirrors out of scopes is a learning curve the more you do it the easier it gets, take your time be well prepped and everything will go smoothly and dont hesitate. id go with lifting the tube off verticaly. im about to clean my 16" mirror this week ready for galaxy season ave fun!!!

what's the difference and why are some nitrogen and others argon?
Does it make any visual difference?

as a company i think they do everything right, ive ordered lots of kit from FLO and have never been let down. today they pleased me even more with placing an order at 1pm yesterday in less than 24 hours it is in my hand ready for tonight's clear skies. Hats of to FLO and thank you for yet another pleasant transaction.

-
id be intrested to compare a full frame shot with mine as i have the SW coma corrector and i get round stars to the corners and its suppose to reduce the f4 to 3.6
-
what does that reducer take the f ration down to? with he corners it may be spacing

just a heads up the dessicant cap seems to be working well in the newt, the beads have turned a slight off green color indicating they are sucking out the moisture
-
are you guys going to make your own self centering adapters?
-
i will keep it, it looks good
-
i still dont understand why they wont work in a newt if the cap is though? surely they must soak up some moisture?
-
oh do i have to return the chocy's cause there sorta GONE!
-
OH NO lol okies it looks Damn good in the focuser though
-
thanks FLO i will jsut use it @ 1.25" i hate waiting for things
-
i thought that you weren't suppose to open them but they didn't seem to be working. the 1.25" fitting fits very nice its just the 2 inch thats very tight, maybe you could try in one of your quttros focuser and tell me what you think?

bought the new desiccant cap form FLO last week i like the idea but its very very tight fit in my focuser maybe they could shave a 1000th of a mill of it to make a slightly better fit rather than having to twist and push to get in and out. also the bags of silica they supply fall through the holes. any one else had any issues with this kit?
