Great image. I really love wide angle images like this, they give great perspective that you simply don't get with the close-ups.

Thanks Malcolm, I wish I had more time on it but at the time I was shooting at a spot in Wales a group of happy campers turned up with led lights powered by a generator 😭 I had to drive 40 mins to the other side of Anglesey and by the time I got there Orion was really low.

Funnily enough I was thinking of you yesterday as I was  in north Wales and your nightscapes came to mind.

    welcome back!

My mother in law has moved to North Wales recently so access to dark skys if a weekend are back.  Been very fortunate to acquire some kit to get me going 😊😊

Here are a couple of examples of orbital fuel dumps:

Cheers for that, that first one is what it looked like. We where just packing up on Anglesey as some fog was making anything hard work when I spotted this. Watched it travel till it disappeared. As it got further away the more orb like appearance it took on.

WOW!, A real and superb Widefield  Astro. Image. I do appreciate Deep Sky objects in all their glory,
but I feel great when looking at a picture of a star filled night sky. It takes a good  Camera and lens  to  produce  a show like  this.

You selected a fine part of our home  Galaxy to expose your cameras sensor  to Daniel.
Can only be described as Excellent. :icon_salut::icon_salut:.

Stunning image, I need to get me a Sony too! considering I’m using an original 5D. It must be 10 years old now at least, I’m sure the Sony will leave it for dead.

The Sony's are wonderful to use, i shot canon for a few years and moved to Sony after the lack of features from canon.  albeit 42.4MP on a FF sensor is overkill it works really well for my daytime landscape work and its a cracking astro camera.

not bad wide open like. i rekon stopped down to F2.2 and tracked this lens would be a belter. wish i had captured more data

I shot it wide open to see what aberrations it had. You can clearly see it has a vignette but that might of been the lens hood. But still very impressive. I wish I had more time to use it. However I have access to it anytime so next time I fancy stopping it down and doing a full night with it.
