https://astronomy.tools/calculators/field_of_view/
suggests you should have an almost full sun on the camera.

Ah - OK. Is the barrel of the camera in correctly and not slightly skewed to one side. Other than that it might just be a simple case of a slight slew.
-
Forget the wedge - likely unsuitable for your type of 'scope. Stick with the filter.....
-
One hopes you have a suitable filter on the SCT!
I don't have this 'scope but first thoughts are focus. If you use the camera during daylight on a distant object, or on the moon, can you get focus? I'm a bit confused by your mention of a 5mm ep.
-
Nowt really wrong with that one!
I'm definitely deciding this year has been the worse for some years, for solar imaging! If the scope is ready, something else goes wrong, if all the stuff is ready the clouds/rain roll in! I don't even think I can count 5 occasions when it's been a good day (or morning) here in the NE.

Very very nice.

Cheapest option to test the waters would be Baader Solar film - make a 'cell' to place in front of your 'scope. That'll give you white light images - sunspots and the 'orange peel' surface.

Can't wait for my Lunt b1800 Cak module to arrive, really excited, lol.
Good! One thing I couldn't understand is why the Lunt WL wedge comes in a nice silver coloured box a-kin to the case for the solar scopes, whilst the CaK module arrives in -------a plastic bag!

Brilliant images....

How do you fit an IR filter? The lens I use has a inner protuberance that almost touches the sensor. Indeed ZWO warn that their standard one has to be screwed in place carefully.

Intriguing and surprising what one can pick up from the airwaves!
I did wonder what you were doing with that antenna outside at night

Lunt LS12CaKMDd2 Ca-K Module with B1200 Blocking Filter in Star Diagonal for 2" Focuser - I purchased it from 365 ( only place that had it in stock at the time! )

Thanks Nigella - in the end I did get the module, but you've gotten some good results there.... p.s. at least you have some sun!

There are some filters on ebay sold by A_p_o_l_l_o which produce a "pseudo-double stack" at the eyepiece(1.5 angstrom). Apollo stripped ~9 angstroms off the usual mass produced blocking filter offered by lunt and coronado, Which is a huge amount of bandwidth.
the difference between a second etalon is the additional stripping of 12 more angstroms before the eyepiece (depending on if you are shipped a good etalon). Apollo's filter is very close to getting a true double stack(thus the pseudo-prefexi). He developed that filter with Andover optical corp and its made in the USA.
Long story short, if you want to be part of his experiment; find him on ebay.
Interesting!

I second solarchatforums for that kind of comparison.
Interestingly, some prefer single rather than double, so it may also turn out to be a very personal choice. Not much good unless you can test yourself before purchase!

May I hijack this thread slightly for more on the sync issue. ( p.s. I found our yesterday that eqmod needs a check to save sync points, so they can be stored for the next session ).
Does a set of star syncs still work during the daytime, for Solar work? - logically it should, but I would appreciate confirmation. Is there any point in syncing the Sun, or indeed the Planets?
I use Sharpcap - the polar alignment procedure is brilliantly easy to use - and CDC.

Definitely a keeper!

I have the 60, like yourself. In previous browsing I have often read that the increase to 80 is barely noticeable, whilst the increase to 100 would be.
However that's without adding in the UK atmospheric conditions. Perhaps the folk on solarnut would be a better place for the question. I think more than a few on there use the larger version, and are located in the UK.

I ordered the 1.25” Lunt Wedge yesterday so the learning curve will start in a few days, lol .,
Ah! Ok. Good viewing.....

Definitely a 'keeper'.

I moved up from film to the lunt herschel - well worth it - plus I add a continuum to the camera. Everything goes up a few notches.....

Short sequence aurora from last night....

ZWO 120MC
Software : AllSkeye .
Excuse the poor quality, I'm struggling with noise on the camera (using dark frame), even at 15 second exposure and gain of 10.
My vertical allsky capture was better quality (178MC) but aurora just on the edge.
