Thank you, that would be amazon. Sorry i've only just seen your reply. I think they're M4. They are supposed to be 6mm but the thread looks shallower than that to me.
Ray
What length do you need ?

I have my 127 Mak on a AZ5 Mount and imo is a great combination.

How dare they give us stargazers a bad name 😖

When you sort out the bent vane why don’t you have a look at the Asronomy and Nature you tube video on collimation with a laser. I struggled at first but after following their video instructions I can now do the job in a few minutes.

I'm now faced with trying to carry on with this process and stress myself even more or simply junking the scope😢

Are you sure the screws are UNC ? I have found most telescopes use M3/4/5 screws. If you want to make sure let me know the approximate size and length and I will send you some to try.

Hi
Could anyone tell me what the screw size is for the finder shoe attachment on the skywatcher 72ed please? I have the shoe but not the screw. Appears to be countersunk and guessing about 3 or 4mm?
Ray
I have found most Skywatcher screws to be M4 or M5, let me know how long you want them and I will send you some of each.

I need a case to keep my ortho collection in. I have seven at the moment, obviously still looking for the elusive eighth.
Ideally it will have cubed foam. Suggestions welcome
I have found these to be very reasonable with a good selection of sizes.

Hi Paul, welcome to SGL. In this hobby there is no size fits all solution but it is advisable to remember what has always been very good advice, the telescope you use most often is your best. I started with a 200 P dob and now have a SW ST 120 and a 127 Mak and they all get used. Good luck and enjoy your new hobby.

A new entertainment venue which will be 96m high and covered in LEDs will show visual displays and adverts. I don't understand how there can be special committees on light pollution, concern over energy usage and the environment yet something like this can be given planning permission.
Money talks 🤭

Great solid looking mount, I bet it is bomb proof 😀

I have always been a visual observer who has thought about AP but when I see some of the superb images posted by our members it makes me think how long it would take me to achieve such a high standard.

This is rather late to the game, but is seems that FLO has some 80 degree eyepieces under their house name and they are getting very positive reviews. They are rebranded Long Perngs but according to the reviews thus far they are hitting well above the price point and compete very well against some better know names.
I have not seen any eyepieces under the FLO name, or am I missing something ?

Hi
Ive been fortunate to get a pair of Celestron 25x70 bins and wanted to ask what kind of tripod do you guys suggest?
Ive seen a Manfrotto 190xprob with a 804RC2 pan tilt head but unsure if this would suit as reading it seems it wouldn’t go above 30 degrees?
Any advice or pics appreciated
Phil
I use a monopod with a trigger grip ball joint and it gives me most positions I need for viewing.

There are some tutorials on YouTube which I found to be very helpful.

I have just noticed your message and I will be happy to let you have a list of parts and where I sourced them. I know I have a drive pulley that is a perfect fit for the 127 Mak which you are welcome to for what it cost me which is less than the present price. It will take me a while to look up all the suppliers and parts list but I will sort it out when quickly as I can. I might have some more parts in my box if you would be interested, but in will check anyway.
