It arrived Sunday just after 11am, and looks awesome! Had to re-arrange my flight case, and my OCD with the foam arrangements kicked in, and cos obviously I don't have the old foam that I took out five years ago when I first got it, it's not all even and level where I had to re-pack some of the foam from places I had to pluck it from to move my LPR filter and EP in. major :( over uneven foam.....

  6. Thinks FLO needs to find a supplier for DSLR light pollution filters. They could make a fortune! And my search for a 58mm LPR filter would come to a happy ending

So much light pollution is white light that a filter for it is close to impossible.

Not round here, evil orange light permeates everything....

  7. What a great thread, particularly when I use my AZ4-90mm refractor set up more than my hefty 150mm/EQ5. I'm hoping to try and get some DSO's this summer, any tips for my little setup? Would love to contribute to this thread sometime soon. Details in signature. Thanks, Nat xx
  8. Beautiful day and I'm stuck bedridden. Have just ordered Turn Left At Orion off Amazon to save me from boredom whilst my back heals. Hope it comes soon

Did they give a cause for it? Does not sound like something that just occurs. Also sounds like the "treatment" may take an extended time.

Cant pinpoint when it happened exactly, may have something to do with recording 4 mins of System Of A Down's opening performance at Wembley Friday night. But we were seated (other half has fractured foot). Got sent home with tramadol, naproxen and amitriptyline, and instructions to not do anything strenuous til the pain subsides. So that crosses out lugging my AZ-4 down two flights of stairs... :-( one shall entertain ones self with looking at everyone else's astrophotos and endeavou...

  11. Wish this chronic back pain would [removed word] off. Ruined my weekend of observing Venus and the Seven Sisters ffs!!!

What is/was the cause? My last nasty painful back turned out to be a kidney stone. If yours was a strain then let it heal, then slowly and lightly strengthen it. Then get back to observing. Do not go out too soon, get warm clothing even in summer, good body warmer is useful.

While I can sympathise with your back pain and know personally how bad it can be please remember this is a family friendly forum and the same rules apply to status updates as they do to any other part of the forum.

Only said b.u.g.g.e.r...... Got a Drs appointment in an hr, as been bedridden for two and a half days. The pain is too high for kidney trouble, something muscular as I keep having painful spasms. Tramadol and 1000mg of co-codamol is not touching it. And I wanna do is get out there with my baby scope, bins and cameras, and teach the other half what little I know.

  12. Was so looking forward to catching the ISS tonight but total cloud cover means another forlorn evening spent griping and bitching about it after such a sunny day! Fingers crossed for tomorrow
