Nice shot! reflects what I saw at the eyepiece last night, except much smaller of course.
-
Not so sure about that effect, it makes Andromeda look tiny.

Simply a beautiful image of M31 to say the least, i agree with Ouroboros, i love the colour temperature in the core region.

The first shot of M13, the colour temperature reminds me of gold dust, nice images.

OSC = One Shot Colour, hence a colour camera with filters incorporated into the sensor photosites that make it possible to derive a full RGB image from a single exposure (hence one shot). Mono sensors lack these filters and so are more sensitive as each pixel receives much more light that would have been absorbed and lost in the case of the OSC sensor.
Well i would certainly call that progress, no? imaging is complex enough, an effective one shot RGB capture would be great? theres a question mark there because i cannot speak for the pro's

Pardon my ignorance as a non DSO imager, what does OSC stand for?

Welcome to SGL! your attitude is the correct one, if it takes a bit longer to add to your scope budget then it is well worth the wait, my friend. Too many times we all tend to rush into something and, just end up yearning for the one we couldn't afford at the time. As mentioned above, the used market is a great place to find a perfectly good scope and, save a good chunk of money which can then be funnelled into an eyepiece, for example.

How do you dither... Do you need a guide camera to do it.. Thanka
No, i often spend cloudy nights dithering around with my scope bits and pieces. 🤣

I also have to thank Christian then. Im not sure if he’s a member here. But he send me this from Germany. Also very thankful for packing.
he sold me a very nice 120ed. It has been reunited with its smaller brother last week, but didn’t take long to decide to say goodbye to the junior😑.
It was packed in bubblewrap and very thin cardboard, but it came unharmed. Thanks for this DHL-guy🙏🏼
Those Equinox ED's are real gems! i would love to hear about first light.

Welcome to SGL! for good stargazing spots, try doing whats worked for me many times. Look on google earth, zoom in on your city and, find areas without populated centres like cities and towns. Chances are, you'll run across swaths of land with national parks or conservation areas. google earth is great for finding unpopulated zones, another suggestion would be to google astronomy clubs in your city and join one or at least ask where they observe from.

Welcome! Junare, have fun looking around SGL, ask questions and we will help, it looks like you have a nice scope there!.

Beautiful capture, love the image of the scope too, with Big Dipper in background.

When i enlarged this image to its full resolution, i was dumbstruck by the amount of tiny pinpoint stars, every one a perfect pinpoint. Your guiding is flawless, this is a breathtaking image, i must say.

That is just beautiful! you are right in your choice to desaturate a bit, I have to agree, I love the tone.

Maybe not visually but, an image should capture that, I’ll give it a go tonight, thanks!.

Great stuff! Was that with your 115mm Orion triplet? Should certainly make a lovely job of splitting them when conditions allow. Last night may have been a DSO night, but it certainly wasn’t a doubles night. I tried a few and they were not great, even struggled to get good splits on the double double. Transparency must have been good, between the clouds!
Yes, it was with my 115, seeing was as good as it was ever going to get that night. It felt good to finally see the second star as a separate star and, not just an appendage.

If your eyepieces were soiled enough so that the image was degraded, then I'm inclined to think you would have had no doubt it was your eyepieces, it would have to be that bad. Recently, i have found that i could not bring stars at lower powers to a proper focus, i was afraid my scope was at fault. It is not, astigmatism was the culprit as i can focus just fine at higher powers.

Nice report! and, a great little scope the 150P is. You mentioned Zeta Herc, after trying for weeks, almost nightly, i finally had a clean split on this most challenging target. It took around 260X, i was so stoked to notice the second blob like star, hovering at the 3 O'clock position and, a gap between them.

It's either a hamburger or a humpback whale.
Excuse... it is a new phone with the camera(s) in a different place...
It is definitely a UFO, because, i would like it to be one, therefore it is.

Great looking set you have there Sunshine. The 9mm Morpheus is next on my eye piece list, I have read very good things about it. 🙂
My 9mm Morpheus is my goto eyepiece, good eye relief, razor sharp, nice FOV and, no glaring flaws i can see.
