  1. It is good to hear the mounts are being delivered safely 🙂
  2. Yes 🙂 We saw your note requesting delivery on Monday. Steve
  3. Ian must have heard you! http://www.iankingimaging.com/show_product.php?id=1866
  4. No problem, Ron. I only wondered why you asked 🙂 Steve
  5. I am not familiar with American and US retailers so cannot (and should not) discuss their behaviour 😇 Regarding pre-dispatch checks. We can offer pre-dispatch checks (at FLO we have an in-house workshop manned by my colleague, Rob, who services and repairs mounts) but nobody has requested it and our experience so far (we became an iOptron dealer March 2019) suggests it is not necessary. Rob is looking forward to someone returning an iOptron mount! He is itching to get inside one 🤗 HTH, Steve
  6. We don't and I don't think anyone has requested one. Also, so far, we haven't experienced a single customer return. (It is inevitable we will, sooner or later, but so far there have been none). Why do you ask? Do you know of a retailer claiming to check iOptron mounts prior to dispatch? Steve
  7. All hands on deck! 😀 One of the two pallets being unloaded. They have only just arrived so the majority of orders will be processed and dispatched tomorrow for delivery to customers Friday. Thank-you for your patience.
  8. We don't know. It is Ian's clearance sale. If you drop him a quick email I am sure he'll let you know Steve
  9. We have made our own photo of the Sky-Watcher Rotator for 72ED that shows more detail:
  10. The rotator has a male M54 thread telescope-side so screws directly to the telescope drawtube (after removing the telescope's black-anodised accessory holder). On the reducer/camera side the rotator has a male M56 thread so the reducer for 72ED will screw directly to the rotator (without the reducer's supplied adapter). When our next delivery of reducers arrives we will make and post a photo showing the setup. HTH, Steve
  11. Ian King will soon be joining us at First Light Optics so his website Ian King Imaging is having a Clearance Sale. To see products and prices please click on the drop-down menus on right of each page. Altair Accessories Avalon Accessories Losmandy Accessories Misc Accessories
  12. From the Ian King Imaging website: Thank you but not goodbye Ian King, 26 June, 2019 In September 2019 I will be moving employment and joining First Light Optics. During the 15 years I have been running IanKingImaging, I have been lucky enough to meet and deal with some very wonderful people and made many friends both within the customer base and the trade. My new role at FLO will enable me to continue providing a very similar service but without the time consuming distraction of having to also run a business behind the scenes, and all that that entails. In the interim I have available some items at very attractive sale prices. Sale Items Please continue to contact info@IanKingImaging.com for any technical or warranty support requests. A huge thank you to all customers and colleagues past and present that made IanKingImaging more successful than I ever envisaged and I look forward to speaking to you all again in my future role.

  14. Now it’s at the Bristol depot so should be with us tomorrow or Wednesday 😎 Steve
  15. Unfortunately not. There were no Sky-Watcher .85x reducer-flatteners in this shipment. They are scheduled to arrive in 3-4 weeks. Our first delivery should arrive tomorrow so I will check then reply again then or Monday, depending on what time they arrive. HTH, Steve
  16. Probably. I will check when at my desk tomorrow then will reply again 🙂 Steve
  17. No - the ED80 uses an M56 thread, the 72ED is M54. In theory, it might fit some of the Sky-Watcher reflector focusers but we would need to try it.
  18. New product alert - handy camera rotator for Sky-Watcher 72ED scopes. More details here, we have good stocks on the way, due to arrive Friday.
  19. Does exactly what it says on the tin Premium quality, super 'springy' extension cable for Celestron mounts. We have had replacement. longer cables for Sky-Watcher mounts for awhile but have had lots of requests for something similar for Celestron. 20. Whirr ... beep .... boop ... click ... 🤖
  21. Celestron have some great discounts and free / discounted accessory offers on a number of telescopes until July 22nd. See our website for full details.
  22. Yes. It works well too. Not sure. FLO hasn’t sold RCs before. We/Grant will need some time to become familiar with it. First impressions when we took one out of its box were very positive. It really does look and feel as nice as our photos suggest. A lot of scope for the money. Steve
  23. Am I allowed to laugh... 🤭😁 Joking aside, we are starting to get a feel for the logistics so are growing confident we can shorten these delays over time Steve
  24. We have iOptron Photon RC6 6" Ritchey-Chrétien telescopes now in stock, ready to ship 🙂 Only £399! Grant is currently playing testing one of these on a CEM40 mount with an ASI183MM-Pro. It should be a nice match in good seeing conditions and gives a nice FOV for some of the smaller objects - M27 and M51 in particular. We will be listing other iOptron telescopes over the next few weeks.
