Well it arrived mid week but only had a chance to play with it today
Overall quite impressed with it but feel it could do with heavier counterweights as i found using my celestron pro 15x70 bins it tended to want to sag unless i tightened the screws fairly tight
I also left the central collum of my amazon basics tripod loose so that it can spinon that axis
I think it will be pretty good for use with my smaller 10,12 and 16x50 bins up to the 15x70's but heavier than those it may struggle unless i can get heavier counterweights for it and try it out
Any idea what makes of counter weights will fit ?
Overall tho it does seem a nice piece of kit so far but will need try it out in earnest under clear dark sky 👍

If your budget can stretch a bit more i would recomend these 2 sets
Nikon Action 12x50
Opticron I Magic 10x50
https://www.firstlightoptics.com/opticron-binoculars/opticron-imagic-tga-wp-50mm-binoculars.html
Both are nitrogen purged and give good clear images but i do prefer my Nikons as my grab go set
The Opticrons are slightltly lighter
But both are great for the money

Yeh i know the Apollo range are good but the Light Quests are supposed to be better 👍

Sorry i dont know but you can read Steve Tonkins review liinked above

The diferance in price reflects the quality of the binoculars better glass ,better lighter body, more light transmitted by the coatings etc
I would have also included the Helios Apollo 22x85's wich are inbetween the other 2 and were selling around the £420 mark but FLO dont list them anymore
I have a pair of these and they are quite impressive pair of bins

Hi everyone! I would just quickly like to ask people for any suggestions for targets to observe, as i would really like to know your faves are. Also, i'd like to ask, what's all this 'reputation' stuff about. Apparently at the moment i'm a Nebula.
its to do with amount of posts

I was thinking along those lines of 4 kilo's of weight
I may just use a bag on the supplied hook and add lead or stones to help ballance it better
Or if theres ballance weights with a hole that size could use a 3 and lock with supplied 1kilo weight
