I assume that you are using a serial / usb adapter. Make sure that the comm port windows has assigned to the adapter falls within the range of comm ports listed in Stellarium.

First update Stellarium to 10.4. Run Stellarium and go to the configuration window (press f2). Go to plugins and then telescope control. Tick the box marked load at startup and then restart Stellarium with the telescope connected up to your laptop. Press f2 again and go back to telescope control and select configure, from here you can select the comm port and telescope mount.

The handset is plugged into the mount as normal and a second cable from the RS232 / USB port on your computer plugs into the socket in the bottom of the handset. I assume this cable is supplied with the telescope as I believe it is also used to update the firmware in your handset.

The windows.exe version. The software is also available for versions of Linux and macosx.
