Detecting Pluto moving in it's orbit over 3 days
Bluecloudyeagle replied to Bluecloudyeagle's topic in Imaging - Planetary
Thanks Craig Thanks! haha -
I haven't seen any images of Pluto here yet. I know its not really different from the surrounding stars but knowing that I am capturing something in the Kuiper belt blows my mind This image is one of my coolest yet for me personally. Pluto is right in between saturn and Jupiter right now so easy to find. 20 sec exposure with a Canon EOS R, GSO 8" CC scope

Saturn, 7 August 2020- first try at derotation
Bluecloudyeagle posted a topic in Imaging - Planetary
Got a night with good seeing and tried de-rotation on saturn for the first time. I'm really happy about the results! I think the polar hexagon is visible here, can anyone please confirm that? I've also attached a photo of my saturn journey over the last 4 years took 5 min x 3 avi files with the Neximage 5. ASIII, registax, winjupos, PS GSO 8" CC.- 4 replies

I just got a new 8" CC scope a few weeks back, and finally managed to avoid clouds and get a shot of mars! extremely pleased with the results! my best Mars image before this was just a red blob with zero details. Hope to get some better shots till opposition in october! GSO 8" CC CEM-40, Neximage 5 best 55% of 15k frames stacked in ASII, processed with registax and lightroom.

Comet C/2020 F3 Neowise!! 😍 finally managed to capture it after 3 days of waking up at 4:30am, trying to avoid monsoon clouds here in India. Brightest comet of my lifetime glad to have gotten the tail too in the single shot! I am quite close to the equator so the window for getting a shot of extremely narrow, and no possibility of getting it with a dark background. Hope you enjoy the pics - Shivam
