That is rather nice. Lovely soft hue and bright where all the interest is. Good job.

Yes, it would be good to see photographic evidence of the device's effectiveness.
I'm on the fence, but so is Jupiter and Saturn from my back garden....!!!

Apologies if this has been posted before.

Jaw dropping examples of the art-form. Maybe some SGL users in the shortlist. (??)

With the BBC met office prediction I have noticed a "Midnight" step change.
So it could be partially cloudy up to midnight, then wallop!, beautifully clear from midnight onwards.... or vice versa. Midnight, seems to be a magical turning point.
I suspect it is to do with the forecasting programs that uses current data for the 'local' hours, but reverts back to a longer term forecast ( which has been there for a few days) for anything that goes over a change of date....... unless something suggests a radical departure from the expected... ie. 1987.

That's a good shot. Nice work.

I think I read once about an "uni-directional cable"..... ie. it would work one way better than the other due to the strand coiling and twist..... could it have been April 1st ??
I decided not to purchase.

Yes it, was a grand display. Lasted through the night. I saw it from near Harrogate.

I must admit I had totally lost track of the Moon phase as I had not seen it for over two weeks.
It was Full last night, which honestly came as a bit of a surprise.

I think a ROR which can morph into a shed is a winner on all counts.
The question... ." Do I regret where I positioned the observatory ?" might be more painful for some.

You can get a so-called "toilet-tent" ( used for camping ) that some people use for protecting scopes over a night or so.
They do not have a detachable top ( thank goodness !!) but are light and free-standing and can be put over your kit in seconds.
Maybe best not getting a used one ......
Here is the type of thing.....

I think everybody in the UK will be very jealous of your images at the moment. They are quite spectacular.
We have NUC's (Nimbo-Ubiquitus-Clouds).

In the UK we call that a Bobby-Dazzler...... ( google-translater = very good indeed ).

" First, I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out,
of landing that man, Brian Cox on the Moon and returning him safely to the Earth"
Go on, its worth the increase in the license fee......

That's a good question.
I suppose being colour you are reducing the pixel count, but they say its super sensitive and that must give you something to work with especially with small targets.
What size are the pixels ?? I am told that bigger pixels work bigger with medium/long focal lengths.
