Goodness, no offense meant. At any rate, my soul is prepared. And I'm very grateful for every time they take the roof off my padded room so I can do some stargazing. Must stop howling at the Moon, though... For the sake of understanding, I shall re-phrase. As my eyepiece collection nears completion, whatever problem I may have in this respect gets closer to being solved!

Meaningful details...

For bright targets it is the bee's knees. That's when the right-angle mirror is most useful. When things get a bit more faint one has to do straight alignment, which can involve some gymnastics... I still have my RACI but I am trying life without it, so to speak... I like the Rigel even more, but I have only used it on the ED 70. Got some stick here on SGL for it being so ugly, so it will have to be a very dark night on which I try that finder on this scope

I'm interested in what you had to "file" to get this to work, should you be inclined to divulge.

Similarly, with my initial modest collection of 1.25" greenies, I thought I knew what an eyepiece was, until the TV85 arrived with the 17mm Ethos and the 41mm Panoptic and I found myself sitting at the table - think group therapy session - asking them all: "All right, which of you is the actual scope?"
