No proms in the PST when I had a quick look this morning
I'll second (or is it third) that, at 9.30 BST.

Not an exciting day, and I'm at the beginning of the processing journey, but here is an image from this morning (UK time). TV76, Lunt 1.25" wedge, TV powermate 2.5x, and EOS m at the other end.
The bigger spot is AR2842 and the one near the limb is AR2843. I think this is upside down, but not mirror reversed.
Any tips on how to get more out of the image would be welcome.

I've finally got a solid connection of scope to camera, via TV powermate (2.5 x). It works well with the PST and the TV 76 plus Lunt wedge.
I now need to get better focus, especially with the PST, and then work on processing.

It's probably a lot cheaper, and easier, to get some thing like this:
There should be mounting holes on the OTA, possibly filled in with grub screws or something similar.

To everyone in this thread, im not abandoning it, but i have a lot of work to do, so i wont reply anymore till tomorrow evening, but PLEASE keep sharing your thoughts.
Cheers to all those who already replied, i will respond to your comments properly tomorrow.
If you find the image scary, then do NOT read "Three body problem" by Cixin Liu.

Do you mean you swapped the saddle from one side of the AZ100 to the other? I presume you find it’s ok? As @Trentend commented, the instructions recommended not swapping the saddle
No, I kept the scope on the left, and moved the finder so that it wasn’t on the bottom.

One thing I need to check on the mount is which side to fit the saddle. At present it’s on the left which I think Rowan recommend if having just one heavy scope but the fittings for viewfinders etc are then upside down. Hoping it’s ok to swap sides.
I swapped sides on my C8, so it should be doable for the C11. It can be a challenge to figure out which fasteners can be safely undone (you should be ok with the domed ones and the grubscrews, but leave the countersunk ones alone). You will also need imperial size Allen keys.

Rowan make an adapter which fits on my Berlebach which has the HEq5 fitting, and very solid it is.

Hi it's a great image for a phone
Thanks. I used a TV fonemate, coupled with an 11mm delite, so it was a solid connection.

Interesting to see how much this changed from 31/5 to 1/6 (see my post in Observing).

Thanks Wookie. I got quite a lot of duff shots. I'm still struggling with focus on the iphone.

There's also "The Constellations" by Motz and Nathanson. But Burnham, as other have said, is pretty good.

IB20, Stu, thanks for the tips about OIII and continuum filters.

I found this a reaaly useful article. I've been thinking about getting one of the OVNI-m units for a while now. It's good to hear about what to expect, and what not to expect from these devices. Unrealistic expectations can easily lead to buyer's remorse, which given the pricetag, would be unfortunate (to understate matters considerably).

There’s no way to “copy/paste” between the laptop and the iPad.
The best I’ve achieved is to email myself a file and open it on the iPad.
Have you tried saving the file to Dropbox, or something similar, and then use Dropbox on you ipad to open the file there?

The eyepiece bag is a good size. I have got 11 1.25" eypieces and a TV powermate in mine. I haven't started on filters yet.
This has really got to stop… impulse bought a Clarkson 3 inch
