Wow! A stunning, bold image with lots of details if you zoom in.

Thank you...I like the higher bolder saturation styles...

Wowzer, that's dramatic! I love it and I also think it's an image that the advertising industry might love to exploit.

Oooh I really like that one Peter.

Ive always imaged this target with wider FOV, but this makes me want to attack again with my larger scopes.

Its a great target and worth going back to definitely, I will probably do the same at some point with the 16in and go in tight on some of those lovely knotted regions..

Brilliant execution Peter, just jealous of all that exposure data…

Thank you Francis ....I've been the collecting data but haven't had the time for any processing.

That's a very colourful Gandalf, neither gray nor white. Excellent image.

Yes its a bit like marmite, you either love the style or hate it....with this style I don't actually use the saturation tool to pull out the colour...contrast stretches, layering methods etc makes it easy, then a slight push with vibrance which is less harsh than saturation.

Looks very luminous and glowing on my screen. Nice image Peter.

Thanks you... I  quite like the higher saturation style of imaging but I do understand that not everyone likes it.

Great image Peter. Isnt it nice to compare with old photos and see how far we have come. I bet if you re-processed the right hand image with todays techniques, you'll improve it no end, not that it is shabby to begin with.

Oh yes definitely.....My work flow is always changing depending on what I'm imaging sky conditions and what latest tools have come out

A really spectacular Elephant’s trunk Nebula, such rich colour and great detail. Have any of the RC suite of processing tools been used in the workflow?

Thank you....Oh yes I have them all... RC is a genius and his plugins are a must for any imagers tool box.

Yes, it is trying to work out what is Ha in the vicinity (there's a lot about in that part of the sky), and what is part of the complex. I may be kidding myself, but I see a partial outer ring of Ha emission. Something outside the typical features we image but tracking the general shape of the Veil.

It's fun when you see something you hadn't noticed before!

I think most of it is generated by the supernova remnant at least in that FOV
