Looking through a box of old photography stuff just found "Meade Series 4000 f6.3 focal reducer/field flattener". Would this be suitable on those scopes (Zenithstars)?

Thank you for your replies. I think I mean a flattener rather than a reducer for an aps. Looking at the Zenithstar 61/73 for the 600D. G

I have a modded Canon 600D which I use with a focal reducer for my Newtonian. However, it has been suggested that a reducer is not required for scopes like the Redcat 51/Zenithstar 73 with aps-c sensors Most grateful for any advice

Hi I'm probably doing something stupid but DSS won't stack on my Desktop computer - I get the message that Folders are read only. This happens with all folders. It does, however, work perfectly on my laptop. Any ideas Thank you

I've just resurrected my interest in astronomy after a few years absence. I treated myself to Skyportal to go with my CPC 800 and a Starsense. The first try of this combination was last night when the skies managed to clear and it worked flawlessly; I was over 15 feet away with my tablet from the scope with no problems at all with connection, etc. I noted in the Skyportal software that there is a backlash setting--this was set on the 0 for both declinations as a default. My question is, hopefully not too stupid, is there any approximate setting for this control for the CPC 800? Does anyone have any experience of this?. Thank you in anticipation.

Will Sky Safari work with the Celestron SkySense fitted? I believe Sky Safari/Sky Portal require the alignment to be done with these apps or the apps are not effective? Many thanks
