Yes, eMMC is a lot faster and more reliable than sd. I've had eMMC in my Rock64 for a few seasons now, and I'm very satisfied with the performance.
Could you elaborate on how eMMC would be an improvement? I don't think I've ever had my ASIAIR PRO crash due to the microSD card, and it always seems plenty fast enough. Maybe the difference would be noticeable in a side-by-side comparison? Are there any other benefits?

Brilliant picture, and it's always nice to see another Askar FRA400 user

Good job, you've captured a lot of detail there.

Thanks Lee,
It wasn't without teething issues like obtaining focus on the new scope took a while and the guide camera worked fine for PA with SharpCap but didn't want to talk to PHD until it had been rebooted.
But apart from that it went quite smoothly. Guiding was showing 0.31 RMS error (0.98 px or thereabouts) but I need to look at the settings to see if I can get it better because I was running on the calibration for my 100ED DS Pro scope.
I initially set up on the Eastern Vail, then thought about it and decided to go for IC1396 because I only had the UV/IR filter in there and I'll save the Vail for the L-eXtreme.
It's great when everything runs smoothly! My current imaging project is the Eastern Veil too. IC1396 responds well to the L-eXtreme as well though: http://urbanastrophotography.com/index.php/2021/06/10/the-elephants-trunk-nebula/

Congrats, using new kit for the first time is often full of frustrations but it seems like you sailed through to produce a good image

Thanks vlaiv, for creating this interesting thread.
When I’m processing astroimages I’m quite happy to play about with colour sliders. I find it fun, plus it’s a good way of creating an image that’s a bit different or otherwise interesting compared to the thousands of other photos out there of exactly the same object. Until this thread I hadn’t really thought about why I’m happy to change colours about, but wouldn’t do the same to other properties, as you did in this example 🤔

That's a brilliant result! I use that camera and filter too, it's a very capable combination.

Just spotted this in ZWO's Facebook group. Don't think it's been flagged up on SGL yet? Not sure if it will feature any upgrades other than the antenna.
-
That's a good result, especially considering everything you were up against.

Would you be able to save the image as a JPEG and post it here again? Then it's easier for people to see.
