  1. IF there is a version for a V5 hand set then you need to use that one, also did you check the time and date on your handset because if the time & date is out it will put your objects way out also check that your time and dates on your H/set match up with your computer.

Im assuming that this a new mount if so it should have come with the latest firmware on it. hope this helps.

http://skywatcher.com/download/software/ there is firmware for the V5 H/set on here but i can't find the loader (maybe get intouch with sky watcher?)

  2. for wide scope imaging you will need a small refractor or a dedicated lens, but the planets would only be small and therfore you would also need  maksukov or a shmitt cassigrain to do your planets.

Have a look at trevor jones Astrobackyard on his set up for wide field and then look on youtube for some one that does planetary viewing/imaging to see if ther set-up is similar.

Just noticed your scope  not that far off with 540mm but as i've said you will want something  like your asi071 with an adaptor to connect a lens too.

  3. Have a look at Trevor Jones's Astrobackyard videos, there's one about basic set-up which uses sky guider pro- camera- and a redcat 60, i'm sure you can get longer than 30 seconds with a sky guider.

Other items would BYEnikon (i don't know if Apt do anything similar), also A free program called deep sky stacker and after that you will require a imaging program to process your images (p/shop, pixinsite,) all costly there are some free ones (gimp, IRIS)

By then you should have the bug .

I should mention that all these fantastic images you see are the product of collecting A few hrs of data along with darks bais & flats and very good processing, also ihave the book every proton counts with you can have  if you PM me

  4. heres what the FLO website says:

Plugs into the mount's handset port (via one of the supplied RJ12 -> RJ45 or RJ45 -> RJ45 cables) to provide wireless control from a smartphone or tablet using the SynScan or SynScan Pro app or, from a PC via ASCOM.

No batteries are required as the operating current is provided by the mount. (Please note the EQ6 PRO should be connected to the Wi-Fi Adaptor Module using the hand control cable originally supplied with the mount).

Creates it’s own Wi-Fi network, so the mount can be used anywhere without reliance on other Wi-Fi or mobile networks. After entering your coordinates into the relevant Synscan App and following a simple alignment procedure - you are ready to explore the universe using the App’s intuitive touchscreen menus.

Also supports the SkySafari Plus/Pro mobile planetarium App for Android and iOS (Please note that iOS connectivity at time of writing is currently limited and two devices are required).

The SynScan App and SynScan Pro App now support ASCOM for slewing, GOTO and Pulse Guiding. The Sky-Watcher ASCOM telescope driver can be downloaded from www.skywatcher.com.

Please note: This WiFi adapter replaces the mount's handset.

  5. I hope you guys & gals can help me solve this little problem, How do i get HLVG into photoshop 2020? it downloads as a 8BF file & Ps is asking for a ATN file i have copied and pasted it into the plug-in/generator folder but it says it is'nt the right format?.

I was thinking that the BF file means batch file? and i could run it through the automated script but also i cannot rember how to do it.

    Thanks Bruno

  6. have you looked at the Ascom settings for the scope? it may have switched to simulator, had had a problem with connection through my commander & it was due to the ascom set simulator the setting is in the Ascom diagnostics reset the scope to ioptron ascom scope, do the same in the other ascom program  then the commander will start.

sorry if this dosen't solve just trying to give you a starting point.

  7. I Had a similar problem, I deleted all of my profile & reset it with the Auto-wizard ( which fills all info in for you) cameras, scope etc, then i opened PHD 2 connected the camera & scope, set the loop to 2 secs then slowly adjusted the guide scope until i got an image, i now leave the scope set at that so i have a starting point.

Vega is a good bright star to try with, good luck.
