      Very good, I myself, am a newbie to this hobby, I am still yet to have a good look at some Messier objects. I tried Messier 42, sadly the weather never really permitted me that night. Good luck :)

      M45 has had meaning ever since the first humans spotted it thousands of years ago, nothing newbie about viewing it, it's spectacular with naked eye or assistance.
