Naughty man !
You know as well as I do that it is only a matter of time before they appear in this thread. Perhaps we should run a book on who will crack first?

Very nice, John. There seems to be just enough space in those cases for a set of DeLites

I have that case from Allandale - it is very small but very well made. I use mine to protect my Giro III mount when traveling.

DRT - how do you find the Big Barlow .... been close to getting one of those for a while
I haven't used it yet. I had one previously and couldn't get on with it but have completely changed my scopes and eyepieces now so wanted to give it another go.
Derek,
A very nice case but I would have held on the 3-6mm myself it is a big step between 6mm and 3.5mm or do you have the 4.5mm lined up?
Alan
The 4.5mm will find its way into the case. I struggle with small eye lenses so decide to go for the three Delos rather than the zoom. I am also a wide field junkie

I seem to recognise that T1 Nagler
Nice collection, Damian. Are you sure they don't deserve a nice case to live in?

SGL really is an invaluable community
No doubt about that. There is no way I would have spent so many thousands of pounds on astro gear if it wasn't for the advice and encouragement of the wonderful people on SGL

Every prob;em I have encountered with these handsets has related to power in one form or another. It does sound like there is a problem with achieving a consistent charge so the cables could be the problem.
Do both of your power packs use the same cable to deliver power to the scope? If so it might be worth replacing that too.

Alan,
If you like your malt you could do worse than order from here. £35 to deliver 6 bottles to Bulgaria is not bad at all

The Talisker was lovely, especially with a triplet
As was the Lagavulin, and the Glenfiddich

Ethoisesses
This raised an old question in my head. What is the plural of Ethos?
Do I have a case full of Ethos, a case full of Ethoses or a case full of Ethi?
I like the last version.

Despite having stopped buying eyepieces three weeks ago my wife tells me "a package has arrived". I might have an update to post tomorrow

I find Talisker is very good at relaxing you to the point when you are horizontal and staring at the zenith

The exercise matting is a great idea, Mike.
The more I think about it, this is probably the best idea anybody has ever had about what to do with an exercise mat

A very nice set, Mike, and I like what you have done with the exercise mat. Very neat.

I wish there was an edit option here for your posts, even for 30 minutes would be handy. Very annoying not being able to edit.
There is once you have made enough posts, I think it is 250.

Derek,
I like a man that is not know for half measures, sound like a cue to pop in for a single malt
.
I will take that as an instruction, Alan. Balvenie 14 year old will be my weapon of choice
Very nice Derek
I have the 31 Nagler and the 21, 13, 8 and 6mm Ethos. I've wondered about the 17mm but I don't find a large gap between the 21 and the 13 with my scopes to justify it I think. Similarly with the 10mm Ethos which is reputedly one of the nicest in the range.
I've Powermated the 8mm and 6mm Ethos so I can see the appeal of the Ethos SX 4.7mm and 3.7mm's. I currently cover those focal lengths with Pentax XW's but I might be tempted by a 4.7mm Ethos if one "came along"
I've owned the Nagler zoom 3 times but for some reason I've never really taken to it for reasons that I can't quite fathom out
I think we are quite close to one another at SGLX, John. Happy to bring the 17mm over to say hello and let you pop it in your scope to see what you think of it

Well one thing is for sure no one could ever accuse of doing things by half, congratualtions on the new glass, my bet is you will like them.
Thanks, Alan - I'm certainly not known for half measures
I decided to buy them new so it was a slightly cringing moment when I pulled the trigger. Those nice people at Telescope House gave me 10% discount so I've almost managed to persuade myself I got a bargain
Looking forward to giving them all a good road test.
Derek
Looks great.
££££££++++ in glass.
£15 Maplins flight case???? (at least our EP collection has something in common)
Don't they deserve something bespoke?
Paul
PS. I'm just grumpy because I dithered when your Nagler 22mm popped onto the classifieds. Hope that it has gone to a good home.
Thanks, Paul.
Not a Maplins case but nothing special either. Might treat myself to something more special once I stop buying eyepieces. I bought the Nagler zoom to give me some high power options but plan to replace with Ethos EPs when budget allows. I wish TeleVue did a hard case - I just don't like the idea of having a few grand of glass in that very expensive soft case they do.
It was gut wrenching letting go of the 17mm and 22mm Naglers but both went to good homes so it's not all bad.

March is bonus month at work so I decide to go for a bit of a radical upgrade in the EP department.
Out went:
- Explore Scientific 82° 4.7mm, 6.7mm, 8.8mm, 11mm & 14mm
- Explore Scientific 68° 20mm & 28mm
- TeleVue Nagler T4 17mm & 22mm
...and in came this lot...
Here they are with their new friends...
And here is my new case...
The astute amongst you will have noticed that there is space for another high power Ethos

I have three of these cases, which are a great size and very sturdy...

Currently showing out of stock but they will come back in and they also have other sizes.

'obsessive eyepiece swapping' disease
Glad to hear it's not only me who suffers from this
I also suffer from obsessive telescope swapping disease. When you combine both diseases in one session it can cause your head to explode!

I have used 365astronomy fairly regularly over the past two years and have always found the service to be excellent. Zoltan is very helpful when answering email enquiries and the speed of delivery is extremely impressive.
