  1. Thought I'd have a go at last years capture to see if I could try some of what I've learned since then. Reworked in Photoshop the basic starry and starless tifs I had, trying to bring out a bit more detailing and colour. Sadr and it's halo is still a bit of a mess but I'm pretty pleased with the rest of it. WO Redcat 51 L-eNhance filter ASI294mc pro SW StarAdventurer tracker
  2. Another process of the data, this time merging an Ha-OIII combined extract with the OIII data from the separate extract HOO image. Cropped to emphasise the Crescent. Pushing it a bit for the 80ED but thought I'd give it a go. SW80ED Pro, l-eNhance filter, ASI294mc pro, EQ6-Pro, ASIair pro
  3. Thought I'd have another go at this one, following a slightly different workflow for integration in Astro Pixel Processor. 5 hours worth of RGB plus 1 hour of HOO (processed as separate Ha and OIII extractions). Integrated, then recombined in Astro Pixel Processor. Processed in starnet++ and Photoshop CC. SW80ED L-Pro filter L-eNhance filter ASI294mc pro camera -10C unity gain EQ6-R mount ASIair - guiding and capture.
  4. Worked like a dream! πŸ™‚ Thanks very much for that, saved me digging around on the web for about two days! Now I've got to go back and reprocess my last few images properly. Clear skies! Tony
  5. That β€˜s great! Many thanks. I’m going to sort that out tomorrow. Can’t wait to get starnet++ back! πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘
  6. Added an extra hours worth of 120s subs to what I had already captured. Also applied better flats and Bad Pixel Map and colour-calibrated the stars properly in Astro Pixel Processor. SW 80ED Scope ASI294mc pro camera at -10 unity gain ASIair - guiding and capture EQ6-R mount
  7. I try not to use sharpening in TDN is possible but I was going snowblind by the end of this so have probably just gone too far with the Denoise. Will have to go back to it later. πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘
  8. Decided to go back to square one on this. Sorted out new flats and BPM for both L-Pro and L-eNhance first. Integrated and proceed RGB version, removed light pollution and calibrated star colour, then created version with and without stars in order to create a separate RGB Star Layer. Then processed Ha-OIII data as :- Ha extract OIII extract False SII extract (using HA-OIII Mono) Recombined as SHO in Astro Pixel Processor then sorted Light Pollution. Didn't bother with star calibration as going to use RGB Star Layer anyway. Created starless version and added RGB Star Layer. Processed starless layer using Selective Colour and Camera Raw Filter mainly (with adjustments via Channel Mixer, Curves and Levels). Several iterations of Topaz Denoise at various points and some selective highlighting, saturation and 'low lighting' using layer masks. Tony
  9. How did you install it, if you don't mind me asking? Tony
  10. Fooling around in Astro Pixel Processor & Photoshop with just shy of 7 hours worth of Crescent captured over three sessions. This time it's processed with separate star layer/starless versions but I've also got some with 60% stars waiting to play with. SHO was a bit of a hack as I never actually created even a false SII channel, just mucked around with a copy of the Ha channel. Still need to capture some RGB stars for all of these, which hopefully will improve things a bit. Not very fond of the star removal in APP but it's early days. Wish I could use starlet++ but I don't use Pixinsight and my new pc is a Mac M1 so no chance right now. Hey ho! SW 80ED with l-eNhance filter ASI294mc pro -10 unity gain EQ6-R
  11. Processed the l-eNhance capture as SHO using a false SII from Ha-OIII Mono in APP. This is very much a work in progress as the stars are a mess. It's my intention to capture in RGB and combine as a separate Star Layer. This is a first pass at the Nebulosity. SW 80ED Pro ASI294mc pro -10C unity gain EQ6-R
  12. A completely unexpected astro session from last night. Conditions were pretty poor but it's the weekend so sleep doesn't matter! Managed to grab about 40 usable 180s subs with the l-eNhance filter. This is the first of two integrations (one in HOO, the other in SHO). Individual extracts in Ha and OIII using Astro Pixel Processor for Integration, Light Pollution Removal, Background Calibration and Star Colour Calibration (didn't do much to the stars in a NB image but it seems to do wonders for balancing the colour as a whole). Cleaned up and finished in Photoshop CC and Topaz Denoise AI. Cropped due to dodgy flats. SW 80ED Pro l-eNhance filter ASI294mc pro -10 unity gain EQ6-R
  13. Here's a version using individual extraction and recombination of Ha & OIII
  14. Very quick process of last night's 3 hour capture in HOO. Used Astro Pixel Processor for processing integration as Ha+OIII Colour, light-pollution and star-removal. Then used Photoshop for finishing off. Planning on adding more data and RGB stars when I get a chance. SW80ED Pro l-eNhance filter ASI294mc pro EQ6-R
  15. Captured last night while waiting for M27. Decided to go for 120s capture rather than 180 as I’m trying not to blow the cluster’s core. SW 80ED, l-pro filter, ASI294mc pro, EQ6-R processed in APP & Photoshop CC
  16. Couldn't resist the chance to have an early stab at this target as the skies were still relatively clear after I had finished on M92 last night. Had to cull a lot of the earlier part of what turned out to be a three hour capture, lots of sporadic cloud and bloated stars but happy to get 1.75h worth of workable frames. Integrated, light-pollution removal and colour calibration done in Astro Pixel Processor before finishing off in Photoshop CC. SW80ED & Optolong L-Pro filter ASI294mc pro -10 unity gain ASIair Pro EQ6-R
  17. Had a go at merging the hours worth of HOO data I recently captured together with the 4 Hrs worth of RGB captured a few weeks back. Created both a finished RGB and HOO images. The HOO was combined from separate Ha & OIII extracts done in Astro Pixel Processor. Tried a couple of different techniques but ended up using layer masking to bring in some of the HOO image into the underlying RGB layer, then did some finishing off for the usual stuff. SW80ED Optolong L-Pro and l-eNhance filters ASI294mc pro ASIair pro EQ6-R Integrated in Astro Pixel Processor Processed in Photoshop CC
  18. Just two hours worth but in good seeing last night, after almost blizzard conditions in the daytime. I decided to just use these two hours rather than add together with previous capture as the stars and colour were so much better. Can’t afford to waste any clear skies under a New Moon. Skywatcher 80ED ASI294mc pro EQ6-R mount ASIair, guiding & capture
  19. The Leo Triplet - reprocessed with better calibration files. 4 Hours worth of 180s subs integrated in Astro Pixel Processor and processed in Photoshop, starnet++ and Topaz Denoise AI. Hopefully, this is a bit cleaner than the last effort I made πŸ™‚ Tony
  20. Reprocessed with better flats and also removed the magenta in the core. I'm happier with this version. πŸ™‚ Tony
  21. Nearly 4.5 hours worth in 120s & 180s subs over two different nights. The second of which was a 2 hour session earlier this evening Integrated in Astro Pixel Processor and processed in Photoshop CC. SW 80ED Pro scope L-Pro filter ASI294mc pro at -10C unity gain EQ6-R ASIair pro Tony
  22. Less than an hour on each of these two. Quite windy last night, but star sizes seemed very good (<1.9 FWHM). WO Redcat 51 and Optolong L-Pro filter ASI294mc pro -10C unity gain EQ6-R ASIair pro Integration in Astro Pixel Processor, processing in Photoshop CC Grabbed a quick widefield of NGC 4565 (Needlee Galaxy), NGC 4559 & NGC 4494 Followed this up with another quick capture, this time M3 Globular Cluster.....
