  1. First attempt at this one. As I was using newly installed Beta firmware in the ASIair (which worked impeccably, I have to say). I didn't want to chance doing a mosaic and potentially waste a clear near New Moon night's imaging due to a rookie error or some such. Have to say, I am pleased that I was able to capture anything with this target as I had no idea what, if anything, I had captured. Next step will be to add to this using the mosaic features in the v.2 ASIair software, and hopefully get the whole thing now I know I can get something. This is 4.5 hours worth of a total 5 hour session. The final 30 mins was ruined by the balcony roof as I ran out of sky. Integrated and combined as Ha and OIII channels in Astro Pixel Processor, then removed star layer and processed in Photoshop before remerging stars. WO Redcat 51, ASI294mc pro, EQ6-R, ASIair Pro , Optolong l-eNhance Tony
  2. Here are two versions of NGC281 The Pacman Nebula, one in HOO, the other in false SHO. The SHO version was a bit of a Frankenstein's monster as I had to merge two separate versions to get what I wanted (one version had good detail but insipid colour, the other had good colour but no detail). All integrations in APP, all combines and processing in Photoshop CC. SW 80ED ASI294mc pro l-eNhance EQ6-R ASIair Tony
  3. Have started gathering data on this target now, albeit under challenging conditions re The Moon. 2.6 Hrs worth here over two sessions. 1.5 hours worth granted in the early hours this morning. Integrated as Ha and OIII in APP, then combined in Photoshop CC. 80ED Pro ASI294mc pro l-eNhance filter ASIair Redcat 51 guiding Tony
  4. Took a gamble on the weather last night and I think it paid off. Managed to get a good 3 hours worth of data on this target before the fog rolled in, albeit under a Full Harvest Moon. I was a bit apprehensive, as it had rained quite heavily an hour before I started imaging, and being on the balcony, there was a lot of residual dripping from above! All turned out well (IMHO) and I ended up with a total of 5.3 hours worth of 120s subs to play with today. Integrated and combined as HOO in Astro Pixel Processor before processing in Photoshop CC. SW 80ED Pro WO Redcat 51 guiding ASI294mc pro Optolong l-eNhance EQ6-R Pro ASIair Pro Tony
  5. Shot over two 4 hour sessions, one in 120s subs the other in 300s Integrated and initial cleanup in Astro Pixel Processor Processed using Photoshop, starnet++, NoiseXTerminator, APF-R and AstroFlat Pro. Skywatcher 80ED with L-Pro filter and ASI294mc pro OSC camera Redcat 51 guiding with ASI120MM-S Pro EQ6-R Mount Asiair Pro - guiding and capture Tony
  6. That’s probably amp-glow as these are uncalibrated subs. However, I do think they’re reflections.
  7. There is heavy light pollution from car park lights, I suspect it's an internal reflection from one of those due to the direction this object is in.
  8. Apologies if these are in the wrong section, please feel free to move elsewhere if appropriate. I have noticed these strange anomalies in two separate sessions now and have no idea what they are. They apparently move over the course of the imaging session and indeed are in different locations in the respective sessions. Anybody got any ideas as to what they are? Actual bodies? Reflections in imaging train? First session 11 Aug 2022 session start 01:44 - imaging using SW 80ED, Optolong L-Pro filter, ASI294mc pro at 120s subs Second Session 30/31 Aug session start 23:30 - same setup but with 300s subs Has me stumped? Tony
  9. Captured 4 hours worth of narrowband using the ASIair's fantastic Planning Mode last night. Have been playing with the data today to extract and combine in various forms. Here's a Mono extract of just the Ha data, a false SHO version using Mono Ha-OIII as a false SII channel and finally a more traditional HOO palette using individual Ha and OIII extracts recombined as Ha, OIII (50%), OIII (50%). WO Redcat 51 with L-eNhance filter and ASI294mc pro OSC camera Processed using Astro Pixel Processor, starnet++ and Photoshop CC Tony
  10. Managed to grab an hours worth of RGB on this target last night, so used it to create an RGB starlayer to replace the anaemic NB stars. Have to say, I’m quite pleased with the resulting image and detail crop. Tony
  11. Last night's capture, 40 x 180s subs integrated as separate channels (Ha, OIII and Ha-OIII Mono as false SII) in APP, then combined and processed using Photoshop CC and starnet++ Pleased with the combine in Photoshop as it reduced a lot of the noise I found when doing it in APP. SW 80ED with Optolong l-enHance filter ASI294mc pro -10C unity gain EQ6-R ASIair Pro guiding and controlling it all. Tony
  12. Managed to grab a cheeky half hour of data on M16 last night before it was lost from view of my balcony. Added this to the previous snippets to manage around two hours worth with the 80ED. It’s not going to worry the big guns or mono imagers but you can’t fault it for trying. 😝 Tony
  13. 2 ½ Hours worth of 120s subs from last night. Decided to not add previous sessions data as last nights was so much better. Processed and combined as ‘false’ SHO using Ha-OIII Mono as SII Channel. SW80ED ASI294mc pro Optolong l-enhance EQ6-R Pro ASIair pro Tony
  14. The Soul Nebula in SHO Palette A combination of 2 hours from last night with 2 hours fro July 2021. Integrated and combined in Astro Pixel Processor and processed in starnet++ and Photoshop CC. Captured with WO Redcat 51 and Optolong l-eNhance filter. ZWO ASI294 mc pro -10C unity gain EQ6-R mount with ASIair pro controller. Tony
  15. Found myself needing to keep occupied after waking at 2:00 with residual limb pain (a bit like banging your funny bone every two minutes, if your funny bone happened to be in your left hip socket). These occurrences gradually fade away after about 5 or six hours and I have found that sitting up and doing some Astro-processing is a good way to distract myself….so here’s the product of tonight (this morning’s) little session! Captured with Skywatcher 80ED, l-eNhance, ASI294 mc pro and ASIair controlling it all. Integrated as SHO (with false SII) using Astro Pixel Pocessor and processed with starnet++ and Photoshop CC. Another hour and I may actually be able to go back to bed! 😊
  16. Got the urge to reprocess this using some of the techniques I have been using lately. Processed from the Ha and OIII Channel Fits files, together with an RGB version just for the Star Layer. All integration, colour calibration and combining done in Astro Pixel Processor. Star layer produced in starnet++ Processing and cleanup done in Photoshop CC Image captured using Skywatcher 80ED Pro Optolong l-eNhance Zwo ASI294mc pro Tony
  17. Just under 2 Hours worth of lights from last night. Redcat 51 & l-enhance doing the capture, SW 80ED Pro doing the guiding via ASIair Pro. All on an EQ6-R from my balcony. Integrated as false SHO using Astro Pixel Processor and processed using starnet++ and Photoshop Tony
  18. It’s all good and I learn something each time anyway. Onwards and always upwards! 😊👍
  19. Rework of M16 in SHO. Less than 2 hours worth of lights so I can’t really complain. Integrated and combined as (false) SII, Ha and OIII in Astro Pixel Processor. Processed in starnet++ and Photoshop SW80ED scope l-eNhance filter ASI294mc pro -10 unity gain EQ6-R with ASIair pro
