got one through the post today and have it connected to my wifi in minutes.

there's quite a few form factors but i got this one... and only 12 quid :D

oh, it can also run Python...

  3. just posted this on their facebook.

"must say that i'm REALLY disappointed with altair... i've sent messages over facebook and messages through your website since last friday, asking for information. not a single response... now, if what would have been over £2000 in purchases is of no interest to you then fine, so be it. as it is, even though i was really wanting to get one of your 10" truss imaging newtonians, because of your shockingly  bad customer service, i'll be taking my money elsewhere."

  4. well, the lens wasn't chipped at all... must have been some odd reflection. got it for £170 which may or may not be a bit higher than normal, but i've wanted one of these for years so i really don't care. can't wait for a clear night :D

  5. not that i actually need it, but i just got a precision piezo board and a few disks through the post today. did a temporary wiring up the the duet wifi  z-probe connector and it triggers properly when i tap the piezo. time to break out sketchup and redesign my extruder carriage. not too keen on the housing from the video as it adds a lot of extra length to the e3d mounting

That's much better :)  I'm quite looking forward to trying my Duet Wi-Fi board.  My Mini printer is not far off finished now and once that's working with Mega/RAMPS/LCD control panel I can try the Duet on it.  Which printers end up with Duet boards remains to be seen :D

once you've tried it... all of them

That looks good. Why not post it on Thingiverse - lots of people would find it useful.

I was planning to make a case with a fan beneath the pcb where duet recommend the cooling is applied.

the outlets are at the back of the mobo and i'm using positive pressure to force the air out the back and upwards away from the print area

bask in the total wonderfulness of the duet wifi :D

dunno if this is of any interest but i'm just finishing off a duet wifi/mosfet modular box linked together with 14.5mm non-split flexible conduit for cable routing. you can have the file if you want it
