I have full Stellarmate with Ubuntu mate working on rpi4 and it’s superb....Apart from the lack of 4K working, which I need....so also using a script produced by a guy on the INdI team, which installs a full astro package on raspbian buster on rpi4, that also is superb and does work with 4K....Jasem has released a beta version of Stellarmate for rpi4 for us to try... :)

do you have a link for this script?

  3. OK Dave I looked at the link above and changed my connection that your diagram shows going to the EN port on the BT module and connected it to PIN 34 instead and bingo i now have a BT broadcasting as Focuser and pairs with 9999 and it all works :)

see the pics of my module

any ideas why this would be?

  4. hi I took the leap and upgraded my focuser to Bluetooth but no matter what I do  I cannot get it to work.

I have changed the sketch so it enables Bluetooth and I get the flashing lights on the hc05 but then they go out after a few seconds and the Bluetooth stops broadcasting.

also notice that when the lights are on its broadcast as a hc05 and not focuser as in the sketch!

I have rebuilt the wiring completely and get the same result!

    any help gratefully received :)

  5. I read the thread and thought I will have a go at this as well. step one was ordering the parts which so far the only one to turn up was the Arduino nano.

so i thought i would plug it into the USB and see how I get on loading things up.

I was a little nervous as I am using a Microsoft surface running Windows 10!

however all is well with the world. the USB driver found itself when asked to search the interweb, the Arduino software connected via Com9 and allowed me to upload the sketch and library zip files with no problems.

AAF2test works a treat and so does the FocusAAF2!

now the hard part to fit it all together with some hardware :)

brilliant work on the sketch Tekkydave well done

also note I have yet to find any software that doesnt run on WIndows 10 all of the ascom stuff works, Cartes du ciel,  PHD2 and backyard Nikon all as good as gold and deepsky stacker flies!
