Ouch, really doesn't sound nice. I was planning a long trip, didn't know there was a steep hill and was traveling pretty quickly (~20 - 25mph), saw a car coming up and used my rear brake to lose some speed, rear wheel came off the road and it felt like I was levitating for a bit. This was in the day.

I think it's times like these when we should remember just how dangerous it is, and it's good to go slow at night or in unfamiliar territory.

Only 2nd time I have hurt myself in 7 years of off-road riding. These things happen, I feel safer riding btw trees than on the roads, lol. You take care as well.
