  1. I saw things through a 20" Dob, at kelling last September, which blew me away
  2. The EVO 120 is an Achromatic, and though good for Lunar, the one I had showed me Jupiter as a purple blob, so was soon sold. The ED120 is a totally different animal, quite superb in fact, and it was my intention to own one, but the ED100 came up first.
  3. I too am interested in the 9mm and the 14mm, so very much look forward to your view of the 9mm . STEVE
  4. Many thanks for your time and effort in producing such a thorough review, and making it available to us.
  5. I completely echo the views so far expressed on Starguider eyepieces. I did have , for a couple of years, the 8mm 12mm and 18mm. I decided to upgrade, spending more money for specific eyepieces, but I do not feel that I have significantly improved things. I certainly regret selling the 18mm BST and probably the 12 mm. BST'S are very good value.
  6. Hi to everyone, My first blog, and my chance to thank many of you, for during the past 12 months I have consulted these forums many, many times for guidance in buying equipment. I settled on a Skywatcher Explorer 200p, and a Skywatcher Evostar 120, both sharing an EQ5, with a selection of BST and Meade 4000 eyepieces, plus Celestron Ultima Barlow 2.5x, and Panaview 32mm ( 2" eyepiece). This equipment has allowed me more than a few ' WOW' moments, such as the supernova in M82, and in the last 7days, the GRS, and so far I am very happy, but eager for more discoveries. I have begun to see the necessity of spending time at the eyepiece to capture detail, and that has been something of a revelation! It has been very helpful to have access to the knowledge and opinions of these forums, and I hope sometime in the future to be able to contribute.
