Thanks Neil. Defragmenting the laptop?
Cheers Bryan!
yeah i found it helped a bit. Switch off anti virus too. Doesnt looked overcooked at this size on my screen. Blowing it up would show the true story. But looks nice as is. I reckon under good seeing your capable of getting better. I remember your work under good seeing.
From what i am seeing you aint hit it yet. How fast is mars now receding. Wondering how long you got

Improvement from the other day. You clearly just need good seeing. Good shot for the conditions. You defraging ?

No not imaging Peter. Still have the Orion. No mount or camera. Not sure if i will ever start up again. I doubt it. Still love astronomy of course. And pop in here from time to time. Good to see you still taking quality images

Nice images Peter. Good to see your still in the saddle.

Nice one Pete. Not easy that low. As you say seeing must have been quite stable to get a result like that this low. Good to see you still imaging.

Yes, exactly like this ugly blue stuff.
Question about the fans: If I wait long enough, the mirror's temperature should get to the surrounding air temperature even without fans, right? I mean, the fans can only blow ambient temperature air on the mirror. They don't have any active air-condition effect.
And another questions: Why do we consider the mirror to be hot to begin with? Is it the mirror's absolute temp that we care about or the delta to the ambient temp?
The scope included a shroud. I took the pictures before putting it on.

My 300p needs two fans one at the front and back for quite some time 2 hours cooling from indoors to give reasonable results on planets. that Mirror design is different though looks thinner, but also larger

Just wanted to say thanks to Steve and he's team. Had a problem with my NEQ6. As usual the support is way beyond what one can often experience, with lesser caring companies. I know most here already know this. But other new Members may not. So its worth pointing out if any of them ever consider a astronomical purchase. FLO really are one of the best there is, period. The level of support will never see a purchaser high and dry. They deserve the great reputation they have, Through hard work and total support. Cheers Steve and everyone at FLO
I have no affiliation with the company in any way.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone at FLO, ive recently had a problem which has been resolved in a way which goes beyond whats expected ( or delivered from other suppliers ) If any new members are wondering what there service is like. You will not be dissapointed with FLOs service and especially backup, period.
Ive always found this to be the case, and so have many other customers. The level of service and support is outstanding.
Cheers Steve / James ect

Just wanted to thanks to all at flo for my C gem, who went above and beyond to get me one at the right price, Also for helping me to get some problems sorted ive had with fittings, im still not running but nothing flo can do anything about. But should be up and running pretty soon, if all goes well should be just days now. I would certainly buy another expensive item from him, as support is very good.Well you all probably know this anyway, but those that dont, hes service can be thoroughly reccomended

Your working through the problems just fine. Its calm air you need. Mars needs it even more than jupiter. Because of its size i reckon.
I am going to be rusty thats for sure, when i am running again. Best thing is to enjoy the imaging problems and all.
