  1. R.I.P Kev, my thoughts go out to his family. He will be missed on the forum. A very sad day.
  2. Hello everyone, as it was a nice clear night last night (first in in a very long time). I went out to find Comet Garradd, I found it quite easy with my 15X70's. I could clearly see an outline shape of it, considering that I was holding my binoculars by hand I was quite chuffed. I must say that I'm always pleased with the views that I achieve with my Skymasters, cant wait to upgrade them to the 25X100, roll on the winter nights. Thanks.
  3. All I can say about FLO is that they are a very good company to deal with. They are always willing to go the extra mile to help you out, I wish more companies would be as good as them to deal with. As you only contacted them over the weekend, I'm sure they will be in contact with you as soon as they open shop. Even they deserve a bank holiday. Thank you.
  4. Hello everyone, I'm looking to upgrade my Celestron SkyMaster 15X70 binoculars. I've narrowed it down to these to models. Any thought or advice as to which one to go for? Have any of the forum members been able to compare these two side by side? Revelation 20x100 Binocular With Nebula Filters Celestron SkyMaster 25x100 Binocular They will be supported by a tripod. Thank you.
  5. I've just bought a Canon 450d refurb off e-bay. Sold by an authorised Canon outlet centre, I did call Canon UK to check and it was a legitimate site. Camera came with a 12 month warranty, when it arrived the unit was new. A slight dent in the box, probably by the Post man? Otherwise came complete with a lens and all the extras, I paid under £300 for it, well chuffed for the price. It might be worth you keeping an eye out on e-bay? Thank you.
  6. Yes it does look a very good lens. My thought is one lens for most of my imaging, less chance of dirt getting onto the sensor? Any other thought or comments appreciated. Thank you.
  7. It does seem to be getting very good reviews. My only concern is that I'll have to buy an extra lens, say from 70-300. It all adds up, one other choice would be the Sigma 18-250, Sigma 18-250mm f3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM - Canon Fit (880954) - Warehouse Express That would then be a good all in one lens? Thank you.
  8. Yes, that is a very nice lens. But way to expensive, the wife would not be to happy with me spending so much on a camera lens. Thank you.
  9. Hello everyone, from what I gather there are a lot of very keen photographers on the forum? Would any of them recommend an upgrade lens for my Canon 450d? I've just sold the Std one that came with it (18-55IS), I'm very tempted with this one, Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM Lens Reviews Roundup - DSLR Photography News & Reviews Have any members on the forum had any experience with this lens, is so, any Pro's or con's? Or any other recommended lens for about the same price/spec? I can buy a new one with a free UV filter for £339 all in. Thank you,
  10. Very nice indeed, well captured. How are you finding the new scope?
  11. Hi Hairycamel, all I can say is take your time to make sure that you buy the correct one. I recently bought a C9.25 OTA, and I sold it a short time after. Thanks.
