Thank you Alan - I am pleased you like it. There is a lot going on in Cassiopeia and Cepheus and a lot of stuff my image solver doesn't identify. Maybe someone knows how to get PI to include all the Sh2 nebula and will enlighten me.

    Thanks again.

C-du-C seems to include all the Sharpless regions at different depths in the program, it doesn't show all the faint ones until you zoom in to 50, 20 and 10 degrees FOV. For ages I was calling this list Shapeless, which of course most are.

Any updates on the StellaMira 85? Just wondering if you’d had the chance to use it.

Sadly I did use it but there was a sagging problem with the focuser, at least working for 3 weeks or so with Ian King on the problem, that was his findings. On the whole I liked the scope and it was sharp in the centre of field. There was a star elongation issue in one diagonal axis, lead Ian to conclude this. There was a possibility it was the Hutech flatener but I don't buy that that one myself and was only tabled as a suggestion. Unfortunately I had to return it, then there appeared to be no more at FLO and they were not sure when they were getting more. As I am at the moment tied to dealing with the UK only up until 31st Dec I have shelved the idea for the time being.

Thanks Alan......yes, a lot of data and perhaps more needed. (I am not commiting to that until I see how things go this weekend. From Monday next I think I will have to look for my next target.....too much time on one image is bad for the 'soul')

I know you want to enhance the blue having read what you said about, can you not cheat and do this in PS by choosing Select, using Colour Range and then laying what ever you want into only that colour, I use it a lot and it will not touch the reds.

Nice one Alan. Hopefully the filter is ok.

On my ZWO ASI183MC I use the IDAS D2 as we have light pollution from LED street lights here. I've just ordered the ZWO ASI183MM as I like the images the MC does but want to do some narrowband with the mono camera. Maybe even use the colour images from the MC and add HA from the MM as Lum channel.

I did consider this filter as I do have a bit of a glow to the south east from the town which is 5 miles away. I also just have a issue with a lamp about 100m away to the south which was well covered by a walnut tree, this has now been removed by the owners. It is causing me a few problems in the shape of lens flare when pointing to the south, the south of course being an interesting area. Over all though I am in a much better situation than many of our members but in the last 12 years my sky has without doubt become brighter.
