Thanks Geof. I find it a bit of a black art really. Never sure what I have until I complete the processing. Trevor

Eventually got around to processing some files from the 6th. I have enough for a short video so that's the next project. All taken through a 180 MAK at prime focus using mono and colour ZWO178's. Also used a 685 filter with the mono camera. I'm still trying to work out the best spot to avoid heat rise from rooftops but that seems to be a common problem. It also depends on the direction of the wind. Plenty to keep me amused !

Good colour shot Neil. To be honest I enjoy using the smaller scopes probably more than the larger ones I have. This aperture lark is very much a law of diminishing returns I think 😬😬

A great set of images Trevor as Neil says the clavius & copernicus really stand out well.
Thanks Martyn. I like to image the Clavius region. Always plenty of detail 👍

Nice images. Good to see some craterlet detail emerging in Plato.
Chris
Thanks. Those small craters in Plato are always an acid test 😁

I'm never very good at filing things away and for not the first time I've found some old files stored on the laptop that I have never processed. These were taken a couple of months back in fair seeing through my C9.25. I've found the scope needs a while to cool down before imaging. You can't see Hadley Rille. Its tucked away in the shadow but Mount Hadley appears prominent. I always like the mountainous areas.

Thanks. Nothing too fancy. I used in order ASI, REGISTAX 6 wavelets and GIMP. Stitched using Imerge. Hope that helps.

Very nice. I like that sort of shot👍

Very nice detail there Neil.I have the same issues trying to focus the Mak. One touch of the focuser and the image rattles around for ages before settling

Can see that seeing isnt the best. But your still pulling out a lot of detail Copernicus and Clavius looking good. Is this prime native focal length ?
Thanks Neil. Yes. Taken at the prime focus at 2700mm

Very nice, and the cratelets popping out quite naturally.
Thanks. It’s such a fine line between a natural look and over doing it
