  1. I am trying to decide which to pay for on a 600D. Am I right that without the Baader filter I could still correct the colour for daytime use in post processing?
  2. However, then the indi grey ribbon doesn't show on the left does it? Astroberry confirmed VNC won't show the indi ribbon but web interface will - not sure why but assume I need the indi ribbon.
  3. Does anyone know what can be used for counterweight bar for the Sky Watcher AZ GTi mount? I have seen someone say the bar from a EQ1 Would the bar from EQ2 or EQ3 be any good or are they different sizes? I had also seen some bars are not the correct diameter to fit the AZ GTi socket?
  4. Any ideas how I attach my old TAL -1 to a new mount - in particular a AZ-GTi? I have the old rings but suspect they attach to the mount in a proprietary way. Was thinking of getting new rings - what size or a dovetail bar or both but ideally be able to attach the existing rings to a bar of some kind to then attach to a mount pics of rings attached:
  5. I have the chance to get a 2nd hand mount and tripod SkyWatcher HEQ5PRO or Celestron Advanced GT Mount CG-5 The HEQ5 is £400 and has missing polar cap and handset holder The CG-5 is £250 and description says DEC may need greasing but ok What would you get and why - I have an old TAL-1 at the moment and at some point looking at either a Sky Watcher 130PDS or 150PDS or 80ED or Altair Astro 60EDF I do want to do astro photography but not worried about it being perfect
  6. Hi - useful discussion I'm looking around at small refractors - Have also added in the new Altair Astro 60 ED-F But saw you are using the AZ GTI - do you have pictures of it with your WO scope? What is it like for stability ? Would it be OK for small refractor and canon 7D DSLR?
