As you all know I only recently purchased a fab 16’’ custom Dob and it was great but heart ruled my head and I needed to sell it to fund a new mount for my other recent purchase I realised I needed a scope like a Dob to give those wow views you get with theese large scopes but I really needed something more portable and space saving so I put up my CPC11 deciding to fund a more portable Dob to give me the aperture but portability and reduce my equipment so two scopes went out one came in and here it is a fantastic Sumarian Alkaid 14’’ travel scope with Zambuto Mirror and feather touch focuser and I must say it’s so light I can carry it compleete to my viewing area in the garden no problem so here’s hoping clear skies this week end .

Ah, I recognise this Atlux with the Moonraker balance bar! I think you must be the 3rd or even the 4th forum member to own this scope now? Nice to see it kept on the forum, it's becoming mildly famous
Congratulations
Yes Chris it’s somewhat of a celebratry now wonder if it will charge appearance fees ?

You do get through your scopes at a fair rate Garry! Get to try plenty of different ones out that way I guess.
Yes stu but the Tak would’ve stayed had it not been for Kerry

@garryblueboy you may find that you don’t need the 12mm as you have the 14mm and the 10mm.
Maybe spend the cash on a couple of in- travel adaptors to make the 14 & 17.3mm Delos parfocal with the rest of the range and the 24mm Panoptic.
Paul
Umm that’s idea thanks Paul yes bet couple of those pieces look familiar
