    Thinking of getting Skywatcher Skymax 180, Got the Skywatcher 127mm Skymax Maksutov but thinking about how much more better the 180mm would be for the moon and planets than what I already have. :)

      Thanks, Probably wouldn't go for the Skymax 150 as it's only an inch bigger to what I have but the 180mm is appealing but if all else fails I can always buy another mount if I have too though. :)

      If anyone can help me and be able to tell me if the mount I am using for my Skywatcher 127mm Mak would be fine with the 180mm Mak I would be greatful, posted a link of it above. Thanks :) Matt

      I seriously want to get a Skymax 180mm and got the 127 Skymax Mak at the moment on an Orion Optics Deluxe Alt Az Mount, hope this mount will be OK for a 180mm though. http://www.orionoptics.co.uk/MOUNTS/alt-azmount.html

      In your opinion is the 180 worth getting and is it that much greater than the 127mm Mak, maybe for me it would not be worth going for a 150 pro as it's only an inch larger but how well does the 180 perform on the planets and moon compared to the 127mm. Thanks :)

      Banish those damn clouds and it's clear here in Torbay in Devon and had some nice views of Saturn and Mars using a Skywatcher 127 Maksutov!
